Okay, time for everyone to give their thoughts on the champions league matches

Chelsea v/s PSG
I expect Chelsea to pass if the second game is at Bridge but if PSG play at home in second leg, and if Ibra is fit they have a chance. If they scrape a draw or away goal at bridge or win at home that is.

Barcelona v/s City
Barca will beat City. Barca strike force is too strong and by feb, I'm sure they'll be working much smoother.

Atl madrid v/s Leverkusen
Leverkusen has superior attack but Simeone's men are a tough nut to crack. Atl madrid will by scoring in a set piece, probably Godin will score in one of the 2 games.

Juve v/s Dortmund
Tricky one. Dortmund isn't doing good in league but they're not doing bad in CL. If Juve can counter attack with their players they will win but they don't have pacy players lol. But Juve is a defensive team and Dortmund is having hard time scoring. This game will probably be decided by who scores first, Dortmund or Juve. Also, if Reus is injured at that time, Juve will go through most likely.

Real madrid v/s Schalke
ha..Real will blow Schalke away with 4-5 goals aggregate.

Bayern v/s Shaktar
Bayern will win. Robben and Muller will prob. score

Arsenal v/s Monaco
Wenger will f**k it up in the first leg and there will be a great comeback in second game. Arsenal will go through even if they have injury crisis that time.

Porto v/s Basel. This could've been us!!! :(
Porto will most likely go through.
+1
PSG vs Chelsea = Close game, might be decided in pens.
Shaktar vs Bayern Munich = Bayern Munich.
Schalke vs Real Madrid = Real Madrid.
Basel vs Porto = Porto.
Man City vs Barca = Barca.
Juventus vs BVB = Close game, depends which team turns up.
Bayer Lev vs At. Madrid = At. Madrid
Arsenal vs AS Monaco = Arsenal
Chelsea will beat psg easily.

Bayern will coast by shaktar

RM, really fortunate draw

Porto just looks fierce and hungry

Barca will scrape past.

Juve will teach Dortmund a lesson, poor Dortmund.

Atletico will win but only barely.

Monaco will shock arsenal, I want arsenal to win it tho
Chelsea
Bayern
Real madrid
Porto
Man city
Juve
leverkusen
Arsenal
PSG-Chelsea:If PSG keep up their current form, which is piss poor, Chelsea has this one, if they recover max form, too close to call.
us vs City: won't jinx it, won't say anything.
Leverkusen vs Atleti: Atleti, Leverkusen are the masters of choking in the UCL knockout rounds (2012 and 2014 are enough to prove my point), they just lack the character and determination to go through, in contrast to Atleti, who are physical, spirited, and have the capacity for lots of goals too.

Juve vs Dortmund: Very close, Dortmund have good Champions league form but horrible league form. With Dortmund having no league to fight for, they will be determined to make an impact in the one big thing they have left, so they will fight extra hard. Juve is good too on all fronts, they have their own goalscorers and are a physical team to boot, and they are looking as of now. I feel like it will be one of the closest encounters of the tournament, I vote Juve by a hair.

Madrid-Schalke: Madrid, no doubt, Schalke are also experts at getting their asses kicked by bigger clubs, don't even need to elaborate, we have seen prime examples this season and the last few seasons.

Bayern-Donestk:

Bayern, too strong on all fronts for Shaktar to handle, and Shaktar are basically handicapped and aren't even taking on this goliath at their own stadium, too many odds stacked against them, Bayern easy.

Arsenal-Monaco:Arsenal is an on and off team, one week they look fantastic, the next they look poor. Monaco is picking up recently both in and out of European competition, if they keep that up, and catch Arsenal on one of their off days, Monaco can snatch it, they have proven to be able to score goals from nothing and out of nowhere. However, if Arsenal is having an on day, Monaco don't stand a chance, as Arsenal's superior talent on the pitch should probably prevail. For me, a 49/51 on this because it all depends on the day, and who's in our out for both teams, as well as morale/fatigue, but if all is normal, Arsenal SHOULD take it.

Porto-Basel: I haven't really kept up with either team this year so honestly idk, Porto had a better group campaign but only because it was easier. Porto have attacking flair, and good on field talent, but Basel has shown to be able to hold their own against team with superior on field talent, like when they played Liverpool and Real Madrid, so its even to me, but I haven't watched either team nearly enough to really know here, but just judging by UCL performances.
Both Man City and Liverpool will have to fight for their promotion. Liverpool playing home against Basel and Man City is travelling to Rome. Im looking forward to see those matches.
I'm anxious to see who leads the Cuty team with Aguero out today
lol, they were able to beat Roma even without Aguero
3 of 4 England teams made it to knockout phase
4 of 4 german teams made it
2 of 3 spanish teams
and 1 of 2 italian teams made it...

well only Germans were 100% successful... But good to see at least 3 england teams in the final 16
2 of 3 Spanish teams?

Atletico...
+7
How easily you forget last year's finalist...
+1
Atleti look like the worst possible match up for, anyone atm as well
Another way to look at it:
Spain has the most teams who topped their respective groups: 3
Germany: 2
France/Portugal/England: 1 a piece
To my German friends, its just a banter :P

Great win by Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal likewise. Final round of fixtures awaits.
+1
Tottenham and Everton also showing class in the Europa league
+1
Fun fact: Monaco scored 2 goals in 5 matches and they have 8 points thanks to wins away (1-0) and home (1-0) against Leverkusen (1st team in group). Not mentioning that the goals they scored came from their only goalscoring (+1 deflected shot) chances they had in match.
Real Madrid didnt deserve the win, after Ronaldo scored the goal, their defense somehow stopped concentrating on game and they let Basel play their game. But since Basel players weren't clinical enough and Referee, who IMO saw the raised hand of Ramos and didn't point to the penalty spot, decided the game.
+1
wait , did arsenal win ???? TROLL :p

Winner Takes All scenario on Group E
More like winner-gets-massacred-by-Madrid/Barca/Chelsea/Atletico next round lol.
+1
maybe not barca , they are 2nd in their group at the moment haha :p
+1
Laughed just a little too soon PSG.
+4
Good to see City back on track !

I think most of us would do this if we could:

+5
our eyes and brain can only focus too much... :D
+2
Or they could not be idiots and just schedule them at different times throughout the day so people could watch more matches. I never understood why they schedule all matches at the exact same time in football.
+1
@Eegay, I wonder if it is to try to combat match fixing/inside betting. If the majority of matches are scheduled at the same time, the results remain unknown to all the teams, so they can't influence anything other than winning their own match.
+1
LOL I actually do this stuff when I can. No kidding.
You need to get FoxSoccer2Go - multiscreen.
Haha, me too Tomi. I usually have two windows open with streams of the two games I wanna watch.
That makes sense deffy, but they could still put the matches from the same group at the same time and stagger it by group.
@Eeegay
I agree with you, they could at least divide the matches to be played at two different times, then if you would watch some very boring match you could just wait for the next match starting i.e. in two and half hours.
Deffyduck has a point though.

+5
The innovator of "false 1" position
+12
part of me wants him to get caught out. He's so good, but also comes across as very arrogant. If he could be lobbed from 50 yards, just once, I would feel a lot better.
+9
You're mistaking confidence and intellect with arrogance Deffy. If you see Neuer mocking others during a game or ignoring them after a game, then it's arrogance. But he's a good sport; he's just a fantastic athlete, kind of like Ronaldo: very good in his goalkeeping duties, but also extremely strong, skilled (for a GK) and fast too. He knows what he's doing and the one odd goal he might concede for playing the way he does does not outweigh the benefits from that style. You might as well say the frailties of a high defensive line are arrogance.
+2
only takes one embarrassing moment and he will never try that again
Actually he's been embarrassed like that once or twice already, but like I said; the benefits of playing the way he does in Pep's team outweigh the drawbacks.
+2
remember that volley from stankovic vs schalke? it was back when neuer played there... i will find link but thats the only time I can remember him getting embarrassed for his sweeper attitude..

^ What's with the music in this video bahaha
@Deffyduck
The opponents of Neuer would need Beckham to score that kind of goal :D.
