I think most of us would do this if we could:

+1
our eyes and brain can only focus too much... :D

The innovator of "false 1" position

part of me wants him to get caught out. He's so good, but also comes across as very arrogant. If he could be lobbed from 50 yards, just once, I would feel a lot better.
+3
You're mistaking confidence and intellect with arrogance Deffy. If you see Neuer mocking others during a game or ignoring them after a game, then it's arrogance. But he's a good sport; he's just a fantastic athlete, kind of like Ronaldo: very good in his goalkeeping duties, but also extremely strong, skilled (for a GK) and fast too. He knows what he's doing and the one odd goal he might concede for playing the way he does does not outweigh the benefits from that style. You might as well say the frailties of a high defensive line are arrogance.
+1
only takes one embarrassing moment and he will never try that again
Actually he's been embarrassed like that once or twice already, but like I said; the benefits of playing the way he does in Pep's team outweigh the drawbacks.

Champions League really gets the media clouds away to show the true upcoming talent in clubs around Europe. Top goal scorer Luiz Adrano and D. Lafata, no media would ever focus on their talent, only preoccupied with big club names. Luiz Adrano is a really intelligent player who knows where to be on the field, and his fake pass to let someone else take the shot is just amazing to watch.
+1
Well yes, I've heard a commentator who was wondering why L. Adriano didnt play on the World Cup... he probably would've made much more impact in the game than Fred.
And yea, D. Lafata I'd say he's like Huntelaar, always finds his spot near the goal to score a goal when he recieves the ball. He has really precise finish.
Luiz Adriano is 27, as old as Messi; so hardly an upcoming talent. And his goals were against BATE, who are worse than the worst English second division club right now. Well done on his 8 goals, but they are not comparable to 8 goals in any other group in the CL.

@Jeroen

Well meaning those that are playing good football but media people who cover sports would never talk or give them credit. As for Messi well you cannot just compare all the talent to Messi and say oh he is not Messi forget him. A team is 11 players and based on your logic you will start to compare even goalkeeper to Messi now. Also, one thing about Messi that I have noticed this season is his lack of changing style or adapting to new equally talented players. He wants to keep playing the old style and keep making the runs even though there are players that can take a more creative role of striker.

Well where do you think the bulk of goals come from for either Messi or Ronaldo. There is Barca Real Madrid and 95% of the other teams at the level of BATE. That's why you get stupid scoreline like 7-1 6-2. It is funny even after the last game barca won 2-0, people were complaining oh they are not playing good. It's more like the other team was similar BATE but they got only 2 goals.

Where is Shakhtar playing their games? I can't imagine that they're playing in Donetsk
