I know Conte wants Mario Balotelli to be playing better for Liverpool to get a call up but I think he should be called up more often, Candereva was the most dangerous attacking player against Croatia but Balotelli would provide an attacking threat with speed, skill and he tends to drop back and link up with players. Balotelli is a hard worker on the pitch, his got the talent and does tend to step it up for Italy. Italy needs more firepower in the attacking department.
+1
Balo is done. There are lot of strikers trying to get into the nazionale. More than enough to choose from. Pele, Immo and Zaza are enough for now. It's the other positions that have to step up.

SAS miss was pretty pathetic for instance. Candreva also likes to shoot, but only scored a penalty.
^I don't think Balotelli is done. Tbh, his record for Italy isn't bad, in the last 2 big tournaments, he was Italy's best striker. His touch, speed, skill and finish is very good. I knew the pressure of Liverpool would destroy him, I didn't want him at Liverpool put rather stick it out in Serie A which better suits him. The english media is a rotten as hell and will drive him down, I think he needs to move back to Italy with a club that can give him consistent minutes.

The biggest dilemma is that Italy has yet to find a Pirlo replacement. Their no one in MF that can deliver the ball like him, hell even Pirlo had to drop back further to regain position from a deeper position.

I wish Conte would play a 4-3-3 formation, with Pelle playing up top, Giovinco and Canderva or even Zaza or El Sharaway as outside forwards. De Rossi, Marchisio and Verrrati in MF with Bonucci, Chellini in CBs while De Sciglio and Darmian playing as FBs.
Not impressed at all. All around awful performance from the team. All the players either had a bad game or didn't play well enough. The back-line just didn't couldn't handle the two goals, the Juve trio with Bonucci and Chellini at fault for the two goals. The wingbacks didn't provide much and I just don't see the point of playing Canderva in the center of the pitch, he looked a lot more comfortable when we switched to a 3-4-3 on the right hand side. Verrarti was good at keeping possession and to get back and on the ball but his service in the 18 and shooting wasn't good at all. Immobile blew some good chances and Zaza was kept quite.

I want to see a 3-4-3 against England.
-------Buffon------
----Chel-Ranno-Bonucii-
Darmian--Verrarti-Bert---Antonelli
Cerci---Pelle---Canderva

Or even Manolo on the wing but just not feeling this 3-5-2 formation right now. I want to see a win!
+1
Conte's not feeling it either. It has to be played with much more aggression, double team and forming triangles one the field everywhere to outpass the opponent and basically dominate the midfield.

Unfortunately Conte forgot how he won his first Scudetto a long time ago.
Its interesting really. I think now more than ever Italy need to find the next deep-lying play-maker. Verrarti just isn't it, I though he was at one point but the more I see him play for Italy the more I realize his not Pirlo's replacement.

No firepower.
LOL, hit the post 4 times :) Guys were playing the wrong game.

I don't see how that was a red for Boni as he didn't do anything. The guy just slipped.
Conte will rotate for the Malta match. I'm guessing Gio will start.
Chiellini hattrick :P

Atom Ant to the rescue, Forza Seba!
YEAH!! Forza Italia!!!
Good game but would have loved to see Giovinco playing in a 4-3-3, he excels in a 3 man attack and was lively coming off the bench assisting and cracking the post.

Chellini's most eventful game, scored all three goals.
Forza Italia!

if anyone is watching :)
2 games, 2 wins for Conte.
+1
and both with a 2 goal advantage

i hope they keep it up. Getting sick of Prandelli days with a 1-0 wins and 2-2, 1-1 draws
this is the only good thing that came from Conte leaving us. I was so tired of Prandelli's crap.
Its always good to play to win not to draw or lose. One of things that irritated me about Prandelli, his lacking of pushing his team to "want" to win and put on on a good performance. I very impressed with Florenzi, his something special, love the way he pushes forward from MF and can provide some excellent crosses. Also glad to see Ranocchia getting called up, solid performance and great to Giaccherini back with the national team getting a shot again, every since his move to Sunderland felt as if Prandelli shut him out despite preforming well for Italy during the Confederations Cup but moving to a relegation fighting team wasn't going to show case his ability because I like the energy he brings to the field. Overall I like watching the Conte Italy, very entertaining.
watched the highlights.

Looks like Juve to me. The questions are the same as with us. What happens when Darmian and De Sciglio are out? or we don't have a solid back 3.

Conte is perfect for this as he is a motivator and man manager. The 3-5-2 that we played in our unbeaten season is the way to go. High energy, full teamwork.

Zaza is looking to replace Rossi as the lefty and so far it's promising. Even more so than before I mean. A lot players draw blanks when they step up to the international stage.

The biggest question is that, can Conte work out a 4-3-3 as well if we need to push? With players like Gio, Insigne, Cerci.
