Best And Worst 11 Of This World Cup So Far?
Tony (footytube staff) 4 years ago
France had to be the worst, closely followed by italy and england, there was so much potential in these teams, but they failed miserably.
The best had to be spain, even though they didn't impress me the way I was expecting, they were a bit defensive, and everything was done at a snails pace
Blueskiesahead (Chelsea) 4 years ago
Yea well what teams didn't play defensively at this world cup? Kinda just typifies the whole event that spain won it the way that they did
Docdre99 (Barcelona) 4 years ago

Worst 11 eNGLAND
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 4 years ago
Hey hey worst is france
ManUK (Manchester United) 4 years ago
All who think england are the worst are wrong, we where not even close to Italy or France, who didn't even make it out of the group
Blueskiesahead (Chelsea) 4 years ago
Yea our group was definatly more difficult than italy's and while france did have a tough group, they were clearly the worst team there. And don't forget nigeria
Mumbai (Chelsea) 4 years ago
Thing is France was expected to be doomed - reason their performance in qualifying and piggy coach. Italy was not having big stars nor they created any hype before the tournament. But England team was high profile with super stars who scored dozens of goals in club football - they had easy group and easy staircase to the semi final. If you look at poor performance; there were several teams but no other team gave such a performance after labeled as one of the favorites
Kushdog21 (AC Milan) 4 years ago
Sure England had poor performances but they made it to the second round and lost to by far the hottest team in the tournament at the time (Germany) who ran around them just like they did everybody. Not to mention, in that game when the scoreline was 2-1 they had a beautiful goal by Lampard disallowed, which could have drastically changed the game. I'm not saying they performed exceptionally well but it's ridiculous to put them in the same sentence as France and Italy this World Cup

Worst 11

---------lloris--------
Sagna--gallas--abidal--evra
-----toulalon--diaby---
Govou----gourcuff----ribery
--------anelka----------

Best 11

--------------enyeama----------
Sergio ramos--lucio--lugano--lahm
---------bradley---sweinsteiger-----
Mueller------sneijder-------ayew
----------forlan----------------

Honourable mention goes to: casillas, stekelenberg, eduardo, salcido, maicon, van der wiel, van bronkhorst (only for his goal of the tournament, otherwise he was only average), da silva, puyol, annan, ozil, iniesta, robben, xavi, luis suarez, donovan, and honda.

Dishonorable mention goes to: the entire english, italian, and nigerian squads (with the exception of enyeama).

I would also like to send a shout of praise to new zealand for surprising everyone after showing more heart and grit than anyone else on the world stage
Soccergal293 (Barcelona) 4 years ago
What about David Villa?
Blueskiesahead (Chelsea) 4 years ago
Forgot him in the honorable mentions. He makes it in there
Soccergal293 (Barcelona) 4 years ago

HangTime (Chelsea) 4 years ago
I like john terry, I don't think he did poorly expect for that one time he misjudge a kick and the ball got to klose and he scored. Other than that game, england pretty much got a clean sheet in all their games (not counting the goal from usa that should had been stopped).

Best:
Casillas
Ramos, puyol, friedich, brockhorst
Sniejder, muller, xavi
Honda, forlan, villa
Hill (Arsenal) 4 years ago
I think this is the best "Best XI" I've seen yet. I completely forgot about Honda. That guy is awesome. Its a well balanced squad
Markoc (Manchester United) 4 years ago
If only the english manager used these types of tactics we might have had a chance

Hill (Arsenal) 4 years ago
That is pretty awesome haha
Rob12 (Manchester United) 4 years ago
Lmfao, that's awesome
ManUK (Manchester United) 4 years ago
LOL catch the ball in your hair, great haha
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 4 years ago
Ok its not just be, everyone is forgetting robben, surely he is doing better then muellar and some others chosen here
Hill (Arsenal) 4 years ago
Nah. Robben has a left foot and only a left foot haha. Mueller has 5 goals + 3 assists and won the golden boot. Robben played way too selfishly and didn't come through when the Dutch needed him
Rob12 (Manchester United) 4 years ago
Agree, Robben should do pre season on learning how to use his right foot, he could have scored two goals against spain if he could use his right foot. Damn even I can use my right and left playing football and I'm crap
Sharpoon (Hull City) 4 years ago
-------------Stekelenburg-------------

Lahm-----Puyol---Lucio----Van Bronkhorst

Maybe lucio for pique?
ManUK (Manchester United) 4 years ago
Pique played pretty well though, maybe one should be on the bench and one should start
Bloodbrothers (Barcelona) 4 years ago
Pique did an oustanding job and Lucio could not help to stop the oranje, its not all his fault but if feel he could do a better job especially being the captain
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 4 years ago
Best 11 and Possible Subs

---------Sniejder----------Ozil--------
-----------------Klose-----------------
----------------------David Villa------

Subs-
Romero
Puyol

Kuyt
Hill (Arsenal) 4 years ago
How do you not have Diego Forlan in that lineup?! Not even in your subs list
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 4 years ago
Don't need him. I got two natural finishers. And I believe kuyt is a much versatile player to him
ManUK (Manchester United) 4 years ago
The addition of Robben and Forlan in particular would make it better
Hill (Arsenal) 4 years ago
Yeah mate, I think Forlan is way more versatile. Kuyt sticks to the wings. Forlan roams all over the place. Front man, winger, dropping into the midfield
Bloodbrothers (Barcelona) 4 years ago
Why are you guys debating this, comparing the golden boot with kuyt?
Hill (Arsenal) 4 years ago
Exactly
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 4 years ago
Ok I got pwned there
ManUK (Manchester United) 4 years ago
Lol yes, got huge responses on that one
Jimmybreeze (Manchester United) 4 years ago
I'm surprised you even had space left for Kuyt. This is what I thought you'd propose.

Jimmybreeze (Manchester United) 4 years ago
Do you two come in a pair?
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 4 years ago
Dude, who the hell are you? And why is you talking to us?
Jimmybreeze (Manchester United) 4 years ago
My profile will tell you all you need to know. And why does that matter? Are you not allowed to talk to strangers? In answer to your second question, there is usually more than one speaker in a conversation, and it's pretty obvious why you drew my attention, is cos of your pseudonym inn-it
ManUK (Manchester United) 4 years ago
We do post a lot in the same places, but I don't stalk him. Why should you care?
Hill (Arsenal) 4 years ago
