Subs: Ramos Lucio Kaka(highest assists) Lahm Gyan (better than Klose in terms of PACE IN THE tournament) Febregas (Best substitute among the subs )/ joke apart Xavi
Yea our group was definatly more difficult than italy's and while france did have a tough group, they were clearly the worst team there. And don't forget nigeria
Thing is France was expected to be doomed - reason their performance in qualifying and piggy coach. Italy was not having big stars nor they created any hype before the tournament. But England team was high profile with super stars who scored dozens of goals in club football - they had easy group and easy staircase to the semi final. If you look at poor performance; there were several teams but no other team gave such a performance after labeled as one of the favorites
Sure England had poor performances but they made it to the second round and lost to by far the hottest team in the tournament at the time (Germany) who ran around them just like they did everybody. Not to mention, in that game when the scoreline was 2-1 they had a beautiful goal by Lampard disallowed, which could have drastically changed the game. I'm not saying they performed exceptionally well but it's ridiculous to put them in the same sentence as France and Italy this World Cup
France had to be the worst, closely followed by italy and england, there was so much potential in these teams, but they failed miserably. The best had to be spain, even though they didn't impress me the way I was expecting, they were a bit defensive, and everything was done at a snails pace
