If we could finish all our chances then we would be some force.... But we don't have the world class players to do so. Against wba we wasted so many chances and normally even us would have won that game 4-0.
Glad we had an off day finishing and still won. I think ollie got it right, the pressure was really on us and by the fans to win and its a different pressure we were not used to, we are best when written off and play the underdog role. But we will learn from that and the finishing still should have been better regardless. Had our finishing been half decent like it has been most of the season a comfortable win would have come.... As it was Blackpool like to make things difficult....
But some comments I have read from various clubs fans saying we will go down on based on them watching us that game, have they watched us in any other games? .... Every game is different, sometimes poor finishing happens even to the top teams, just an off day in front of goal, better to get them out the way and still win.
Blackpool are proving to be a real force in tne premier league everyone was tipping them to be rock bottom all season long but whoa they're proving all the doubters wrong
26 shots with 5 on target! Damn that was frustrating to watch them waste chance after chance to truly put the game away. Great ending and you have to give WBA a hand because they almost pulled two back to tie it even with 9 men
That was reckless challenge! Blackpool wasted too many chances but they got 3 points, they look a lot stronger when they play as an underdog. Di matteo's side was pretty unlucky to play with 9 men for 60 mins, but those really are red card to me for the challenges
Blackpool almost made the cardinal sin.... Not attacking a weakened opponent.... 9 men for 60 min and only 5 shots on target.... You can practically waltz into the penalty area against 8 field players, you don't need world class players to do that; Blackpool should have been throwing everything they had at goal, really going for the jugular.... In the end they almost paid for it, almost being the key word.... A win is a win, but it'll only just feel like a win, not exactly the confidence boost that a 5-0 would have produced
