Rooney To Real Madrid?
AznB0b (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
If you haven't read the news on soccernet.com. Ronaldo wants Rooney to play along side with him at Real Madrid.
Ronaldo also stated that Rooney would fit in a real jersey and has all the quality to play for them. Ronaldo told The Sun. "He would be brilliant if he came. This is the ideal place for the world's best players and there's little doubt he is one of them. "

"Wayne has all the skill and determination you need to make a fine career here. He has shown just how good he is over the last few years in England. And there's no doubt he would be the same sort of player in Spain. It would be lovely to see him here one day at Real Madrid. ""I realise it would take a lot for him to move from England. He loves the country, he loves Manchester and he is a Liverpool boy. And United is a good club for him. But you never know what could happen in the future. ''

So how do you guys feel about this? Do you think Rooney will ever leave england and play for Real? Or do you think he will leave (if by any chance) to another club beside Real madrid?

What are your thoughts.

Well let's put it this way, Ronaldo can make all the official statements he wants. But in the end it won't mean anything.

The day Rooney moves to Real Madrid will be a very intersting one indeed
AznB0b (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
But my opinion is that why would Real want more strikers, unless they offload some of them. But do they have enough money for him if they did need him
Saf would make Rooney cost more than Ronaldo if he did leave. Rooney is my favorite striker, too see him leave to another club would make me not see Manchester United the same.
I doubt that Rooney leave england, I think he like the fast and quick and strong pace of the game in england too
Yombe10 (Arsenal) 3 weeks ago
I agree with you completely. Rooney is synonymous with England and English football
Tony (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Check out the homepage on.... Republik of mancunia.... Nov 5th rooney, I want to end my career here, just like giggsy.
Thread over.... I hope

I doubt Rooney would ever leave United for Real Madrid, he has said it before and I believe it when he says he wants to be at United for the rest of his life. The only way Rooney would leave United is if Ferguson loses faith in him and decides to sell him like what happened to David Beckham. Beckham was forced to leave United by Ferguson otherwise he still would have been here but Rooney's situation is a bit different than Beckham because Rooney will always provide you with goals and he will get better and better.
Also Rooney is an English player and English players usually do not leave to play in another country whereas Ronaldo was from Portugal and he had an ambition to join Madrid at a young age, it was his dream. Rooney's dream is to play for an English club and win many trophies with them and hence he wouldn't chose United over another club

Ronaldo talks alot. Rooney won't be going anywhere. Trust me on that. Real already have too many quality strikers in raul, benzema, higuain, with ronaldo able to play there as well. Rooney would turn out to be the next michael owen if he left manchester. The fans love him at old trafford and so does SAF. He's got it made in manchester. Hence, I really doubt this will happen anytime soon, or ever

I agree with this. Ronaldo does like to be in the spotlight a lot but his comments should not affect such a high class player such as Rooney. No doubt it is a nice gesture since they are good friends but I would think that Rooney knows he would have too much competition for first team action at a club like Real Madrid where strikers are already plentiful. This is not to say that he is the type of player that is not willing to fight for a place but he is already at a club who is doing great and winning trophies. There would be no need for him to leave the love he receives at Old Trafford to move to a club like Real Madrid while he is in his prime

Well I think one of the other reasons Ronaldo would like for Rooney to come to Madrid is because they both have played alot of football between each other and have alot of understanding between each other. Right now, there is no other player Ronaldo would feel more confident playing alongside than Wayne Rooney. They formed one of the greatest partnership between each other at United in the EPL and Champions league
Y3kesprit (Liverpool) 3 weeks ago
Hmmm, the question is does Rooney really wants to go there?

Honestly, Real's performane has not been one that is expected of from a team so strong in terms of the qualities of the players
Zzlatan (Barcelona) 3 weeks ago
Well I don't think that rooney will join real madrid by leaving manchester united.

Because he has previously stated that he is very faithful to the club, so he will not move to any other club.

Well Ronaldo wants rooney in madrid, but it is possible only if rooney wants to leave manchester, otherwise ronaldo have to wait...

Rooney now has the opportunity to become one of Manchester United's all time greats. With Ronaldo gone he has to show how much he has matured and developed as a player under Sir Alex Ferguson and I think he'll relish the challenge. There is no possibility of him going anywhere for the foreseeable future, in my opinion
Tony (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
Wayne said he wanted to finish his career at old trafford, and I reckon that's what will happen.
I'm sure ronaldo would love to link up with rooney again, but as someone else said, they have a multitude of strikers at real madrid.
But I think its all pie in the sky

Rooney in a Real Madrid jersey? I think this is just a dream.... Rooney is playing at ManU and he is happy there.... He wants to end his career there! But I think Sir Alex Ferguson will not sell him for any price to Real! He loves England and he loves ManU!
Adamaus (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
Rooney love england to much imo to run off to spain. And as others have said rooney loves united and united loves rooney
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 3 weeks ago
I would commit suicide the day this happends. Rooney belongs in the premiership. And a hass-been like ronaldo cannot make him ruin his career
AznB0b (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
Completely argee with you there. I think if that does happen, I guess we have to start a riot at real madrid
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 3 weeks ago
Yeah. But imagine he did. He would rule the league. But I cannot physically even see that happening
ManUK (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
True But you can't blame anyone for wanting him in the La liga
Yogan09 (Chelsea) 3 weeks ago
Now, really, that's Three threads about what Ronaldo has said for his new club. I can't explain my anger now. I hate him so much, and I agree so much with what Sergio said. 1. He says Barcelona's players don't have the talent to play in Madrid (maybe he's just a bit idiotic and got that mixed up. Well, I mean, Barcelona are European Champions, for his information). 2. Real Madrid can beat every team in the World and win the treble (heehee, its possible, but if he gets pwned by Barca or any other team that he's criticised then I'll be mimicking him for the rest of his and my life). And, 3. Now this, what is he thinking? What an idiot. Rooney deserves his place at Man United. Alex Ferguson let Ronaldo slip, he's not going to let Rooney go over to Spain. He's just so c**ky and arrogant and....

Thanks for making this though, its nice to see what he's said so we can all hate him more.
AznB0b (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
Lol no problem, another way to make people hate Ronaldo more
M4rsenal (Arsenal) 3 weeks ago
Same as Adebitchyour did with Toure. He said to the board to buy Toure and they did it.
I think that if Man UTD loose Rooney they're gone. They're completly Gone.
He is the soul of man united, he is as prolific as assisting.
But I believe that He won't leave united for Real Madrid. He knows that he won't find always space. Pellegrini will have the headache to choose the right players.
I think Rooney is the future of united and will stay there until the death
M4rsenal (Arsenal) 3 weeks ago
And don't mind for the rumors.... Real madrid wants to buy even me and Chuch Norris. -. -'
Or even you that you read this comment, they're thinking of you
Blueskiesahead (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago
Lol no kidding. They deffinatly need chuck norris. He'll drop kick messi, then drop kick valdez.... Then benzema will score
MyRaJ (Real Madrid) 3 weeks ago
I do not think Manchester would agree wasting another great player, I would be happy to see him again next Cristiano Ronaldo
Riggs (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
Ronaldo wants rooney to pass him the ball. Like they did when they played together. Ronaldo became quite used to getting the ball on a silver platter all the time so he could do 200 needless stepovers and put the ball out of bounds. On real madrid maybe he isn't getting that. Maybe he isn't the only star anymore and other players are getting the ball just as much as him. This may seem wholly unrelated but I think this is ronaldo's sub-consciouss talking
Blooob (Liverpool) 3 weeks ago
Well said. Ronaldo is not the only star at madrid he need to relize that
AznB0b (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
That is true and I do agree with both of you guys. I think that he needs to realize that there has been players that have been there from the good and bad times at real and need to act more as a teammate than a star
Jman008 (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
I don't think Ronaldo wants Rooney to come to Madrid so Ronaldo can make a big name of himself at Real Madrid. He wants Rooney to come to United because they both have a great understanding between each other and he knows he can play really well alongside Rooney. Ronaldo will be brilliant at Madrid regardless if Rooney is there or not but he would be even better if Rooney was playing alongside him
Kimaway17 (Liverpool) 3 weeks ago
Nope I don't see it happening. I think Rooney will retire in england because I don't see him going abroad
