Introducing - The Footytube Blobs

We're dead exited to have partnered with Dan Cox, a leading UK 3D guru who has previously put together idents for the BBC and CBeebies.

We've commissioned him to animate a bunch of witty footytube idents based on our 'blob' characters. They will talk, laugh, and get killed by stuff.

Here's an early test render.

The idents will be in a similar Vein to BBC THREE's old Blob idents.

Hopefully those few people that complained about the current ident will be pleased (though I won't hold my breath on that one

).

If any of you have ideas for more characters, or humorous 6-10 second sketches, do let us know

We tried to build a character based on matt - it looked exactly like him, but unfortunately the ridiculous gingerness caused our test audience to vomit into their laps and the video player didn't have enough screen width to accommodate his disgusting, over-sized beer Gut

Haha I like the the crouchie one. You can go with more players like have one wearing a helmet(cech obviously) and he could be.... Well umm.... Retarded haha or one that goes around sniffing white lines? (Fowler)

What.... The.... Heck - Why on earth do we need blobs?! You didn't even give an explanation. Don't you ind it embarrassing for footytube to have Blobs.... I am.... This is weird

First one will be crushed by the footytube logo falling down ontop of him in the footytube stadium

Next one will feature Crouchie on Mastermind

Then there's one with Roon doing a scouse Opera

One of Crouchie doing the Robot Dance and Afro breakdancing in a 'dance-off'

P. S. Forgot to add Crouchie's cool spiky hair to the screengrab. And Roon has shrek ears in the final model obviously
