Wow look at all those cards, must've been a dirty dirty game. Really surprised that Messi missed that penalty, but great job to Sevilla on a 0-0 tie with the current European Champs
Shouldn't be at all surprised after what went down. Try taking a pk after being delayed for 5 minutes while everybody else is brawling - gotta' be someone like Buddha to not be phased. I was surprised Messi's shot was on target.
The game wasn't dirty at all - Sevilla was turtling and it worked, good for them. Things just went wild after a 90th minute pk, as you'd expect. Denying barca for 90 minutes to go down on a pk.... Can't stay calm after something like that
He didn't miss - Varas saved it. And what's wrong with excuses if they're valid? Do you disagree that there is immense pressure on someone taking a penalty, especially under these circumstances? Besides, I don't need to defend Messi; nobody needs to defend Messi. He's a genius and you better believe it, or at least come to terms with it
Barca drew Sevilla - everybody rejoice! Great day for all the haterz. Enjoy it while you can, Barca's taking the sextuple again this year.
Pretty funny though. Kanoute totally lost it. But give him credit, saved the game for Sevilla by messing with Messi's head hardcore. Pretty much pulled a wc2010 Suarez
Lol, no one is hating. If anything, blame sevilla for doing a great job and of course their GK Varas. Guy was awesome. Just outstanding. I do however have one question, what will happen to you when Barca is no longer on top of the world? You know, like Messi retires or something?
Yes, lets assume no one is hating here (pretty weak assumption). I'm not blaming anyone - Sevilla played a great game and Varas was amazing. Despite the frustration, I love seeing top class goal keeping and this was no exception. I enjoyed watching the game quite a bit. As for your question, obviously Barca is not going to be on top forever. But I stick by my teams through the good and the bad. I've followed Barca before Messi, and I'll follow Barca after Messi. I appreciate Messi to the fullest, but he's just one out of many Barca players, though I'm not saying he's not the best one right now. The bandwagoning phenomenon is not news and is certainly not unique to Barca. So all those accusations are pretty worthless. If anything it's an indication of a team's success. All successful teams have experienced this, including Man UTD and especially Madrid. Don't fool yourself into thinking your fan base is any more pure than Barca's. Ok, I've done enough troll feeding for the day. Peace
Well if Fabregas didn't instigate it with his "terrorist" comment it wouldn't have happened.... But the result would probably have been the same. Great game from Varas, if he keeps such form RM will also have their hands full when Sevilla roll into town

Show me the proof that Fabro called him a terrorist! You people start rumors easily
Penalties are the most horrible part of the beautiful game - both how they're won and how they're missed
BTW just to be clear, since I can see the kind of attitude that's purveying the comments section here, no malice was meant by this! Just a comment on the universal pain that the Penalty Kick brings to every football fan...
