We can't rely on puyol for assists, for god's sake. He's supposed to be on defence. The defence looks sloppy. Grynsky and Pique are not strong enough in the center, they need Pique there. Messi is the right winger, not Iniesta or Henry, Barça doesn't play with a left winger if that is what you are trying to say, Iniesta is an attacking midfielder and played in Henry's position since Pep does not consider him yet good to play and then Keita played in Iniesta's position, he scored 4 goals in 2 games, he is doing more than asked. No complaints from my part
No you mean thanks to Marquez. If he didn't screw up then none of the other defenders would be in that predicument. Plus there was aOsasuna player right in front oh Pique, I don't see why he is getting the blame.
The player who loses the ball gets the blame not the one who is trying to clean it up
Marquez gets a lot of unnecessary flak. Honestly, Pique, Puyol, Chyrgynsky, and Keita were ALL guilty of mistakes earlier in the game - mistakes that were much worse (losing the ball in the centre of the field).
In addition, Marquez was trying to clean up someone else's mistake - and he's only been back for 2-3 games after a long injury layoff. Give him some slack.
Chyrgynsky, on the other hand, I don't know what Guardiola saw in him - because I don't see it. He sux!
Unnecessary I don't think so. Its what's seen. When a player is at fault that's just it. They are at fault.
If any other player had made the mistake then I would say so. Keita IMO scored the winning goal for us and if he didn't score we would have had a lost in that last minute so any mistakes he made in the match was resolved for me. Puyol is just a great player and no he doesn't really belong up front but he does his job and no one can really complain. Pique yes he can mess up sometimes but honestly if he wasn't in the back sometimes defending like he does we wouldn't be better off. Chyrinskiy I have no defending words for him more or less I agree with you on that one. He does nothing for the back line.
All Marquez had to do was clear the ball.... He looked a little confused there. IDK I'm not on him for no reason its just what I see.
How lucky Osasuna was to get that owngoal at the last minute without even creating dangerous opportunities throughout the game. It is unlucky for Marquez everytime he plays, he messes up everytime, except for last game in Copa del Rey, but I don't know why Grychinsky was substituted in the first place, I think it was a dumb sustitution by Guardiola because none of those players are in their best peak right now, so he had to settle for the one that is playing more. Now Puyol, who has the nerves to criticize this great player that gives everything for Barça and shows that every game, for sure he doesn't have the offensive skills of Dani Alves in that position because he is a central, but he played good, he did his part very well, just like Pique and Abidal, but Marquez had to come and mess it up. I still have faith he and Henry will get in his peak back again, even though this lost 2 points have hurt us
Referees are dumb, in Real's game the referee gave a straight unfair red card to Albiol, and in Barça's game there was a clear red card for a last Osasuna man against Ibrahimovic, where he would've have a clear goal opportunity one on one with the keeper
Heartbreak for Barca. They weren't at their best but should have won this if not for the own goal. We are starting to see some weaknesses in the Barca defence
Barca players sure did let their heads go down pretty easily. Sure there wasn't much of a chance of getting all three points after osasuna had scored, but keep your heads up lads. If you want to be considered the best in the world you need to play like you are and act like you are. Show some character
Its the WAY they dropped the 3 points.... It waas a hard earned win that was lost by the defensive display equivalent of a 3 year old 1st trying to learn how to kick a ball of something.... Marquez easily should've had that ball.... Especially by the standards we all know of him.... I don't want to fully put the blame on him though.... JUST LIKE THE chelsea match IN champs league.... They had MANY chances.... Brilliant chances to finish them off.... But they didn't.... And a team of this attack quality and finishers will definitely feel they LOST the game themselves rather than the other team tying (that's probably their POV.... Mine is that osasuna played amazing and it would always be a tough fixture.... But barca will be frustrated because in the end.... All that was needed was a meer slide tackle or extended leg a second earlier and the game would have been won 1-0)
Thinking about it we shouldn't have had to depend on the one goal to win. No the blame can't all go on Marquez but a lot of it can. Either way we should have done better than we did....
Osasuna was vey lucky to have own goal in dying minutes of the game. Well barca was bit unlucky. I think chyngrinsky is not that well in defence. He needs to improve a lot...
Man osasuna played amazing as usual.... During the match every match barca has played against osasuna they've won like 9 times out of about 17 or so matches I think.... Maybe more matches but I know it was 9 wins.... And each win was only by a single goal.... I knew it would be tough.... BUT flippin marquez.... I aint worried about chygry.... He's young and its HARD to play for barca.... He's like.... 22 or younger and he's quite solid in the back.... But marquez!Man he's a lost cause.... I'm all about giving him chances.... But honestly.... The worst defensive mistake i've seen in a while.... Worse than a pass back to the keeper and getting it intercepted.... Worse than that!The old marquez woulda got that ball out.... True.... Imo I think bojan better as a winger than as a central striker (which is what they lost him as now)
They got kierrison on loan who is a great great raw talent who is taller and great on the ball and is a striker like ibra (not as huge but like a out and out striker) Wingers should only be now messi, henry, pedro, bojan, jeffren, gai assulin.... If anything actually have ibra and henry as center strikers.... But definitely bojan should be on the wing
I am wondering is he injured or in Pep's doghouse It just seems so painfully obvious he should be on the wing in Henry's absence. The only think I can think is possibly Pep is trying to get some game experience for some of the other players before they reach mid season and he cements hos starting 11?
