Torres didn't play. I didn't watch the game, but I'm going to assume that gerrard hasn't fully recovered from his groin injury. If you stop to think about it, man utd is in a similar adjustment phase due to players leaving, but those players aren't coming back. Is this what liverpool is going to look like post-gerrard/torres era?
The first half of the match was for Liverpool.... Lyon didn't find the right path until they scored their first goal! With the abscence of Gerrard Liverpool became like a broken castle! I don't know how Liverpool will look without Gerrard and Torres.... But I hope Aquilani can do some changes
When it rains, it pours! I think that the mistake that they made was taking the beach ball away- it would have probably helped in defending today!
What's worse is that you have Man UTD on Sunday, and if they lose that game.... Let me just say it now- can the Liverpool police just give Rafa 24hr protection because I really am concerned for his life!
At the rate Liverpool are going I wouldn't be surprised to see Gillette sell them to the Saudi's this year. That's not entirely a bad thing considering with the Saudi's would come a boat-load of money for new talent. Right now they're form is plummeting and I hope for their sake some big changes are made soon
I wonder liverpool will be the new-newcastle just because internal problems with the owner.... Losing is the way to force them to leave.... But I don't like that idea...
I've been saying it last season and I'll say it this season, Liverpool cannot rely on one sole source of offense (torres) and hope that talented but not natural goal scorers/snipers like Benayoun and Kuyt will score in the interim. Gillette needs to be blamed for not supporting the team with more $ for offense and losing players like Xabi Alonso to replace them with Aquilani who has yet to see his feet hit the pitch!
What does the owner have to do with it? How much money do those guys have to spend b4 pool fans accept that its rafas fault? I'm gonna' list some players and you tell me which one wasn't expensive : Torres, Johnson, mascherano, kuyt, aquilani, keane, reira, babel, .... The owners have invested more than enough cash; your management is just 2 stupid to spend it wisely
