Recently discovered this band called Russian Circles.... They are instrumental, from Chicago and do post-rock stuff. They are really good. Check out a couple of there songs....
Nirvana= awesome. Love it extinguished is what Nirvana literally translates too which I think is funny because the band seems to do the exact opposite which is light a fire under everyone's ass
I bought their debut album in 2006, and had kinda forgotten about it for a while. But after cleaning out my album closet, I bumped into it again, played it and was blown away again. These guys make turntables into art you just have to move on.
In that last video, 1:50 is exactly the sound I want at a party
I saw the National in July, and they were fantastic! I've been a fan of them for a long time, but I didn't expect them to be as good live as they sounded on vinyl. I thought their music wasn't suited for live performances. Boy, was I wrong.
One of my favourite songs is 'Afraid of Everyone', but actually the whole 'High Violet' album is in my top 10 of all albums I bought the last 5 years. Perfect music to listen to with my headphones on (again) when in a train, or just walking in the street
You lucky Bastard! I was introduced to The National last year, and they've been one of my favorite bands since. I think Alligator tops High Violet. And I think their Self-Titled one is underrated. I still have to see them live
