OK so I thought my top 10 movies of all time were pretty much set in stone, but having recently seen OldBoy (2003) I need to revise my list.
Absolutely fantastic film. Lead me to get 'I'm a cyborg but that's ok' by the same guy, which was also rather brilliant if you like completely mental things
I saw funny people last friday. It was........................Funny. Haha I loved it. I couldn't get over adam sandlers rendition of Real Love. This movie will fit snuggly in my dvd collection; in between Superbad and Knocked Up
Oh, I didn't know the movie was only out in the states. Good thing I didn't ruin it for anyone by saying that sandler dies at the end or something

Apatow is a comedy genius, its all about good, funny dialogue with him. Doesn't worry about changing the camera angles too much so the actors can improvise easily, same with knocked up. I think its pretty cool how he's got his wife and kids in many of his movies, but his kids arent allowed to watch the movies they're in yet, he's making a fifteen minute kid-friendly version of funny people!
I am confused have you just seen a film called 'a above avg film for me' or a film called ', ' which was above average?
Your other recommendations are good, The Departed has maybe the best cast ever put together. The Bourne films are good and set the tone for the new Bond films (if Casino Royale had just a bit less product placement it would be one of the best action films out there).
Kill Bill 1 and 2 has me a little conflicted I do like Tarantino dialogue and music in his films are always captivating. Many of the plots and scenes he uses are taken wholesale from other films . Does this make them worse? Still looking forward to Inglorious Bastards
Right below are my recommendations for best worst movies. Movies that are so bad/super cheesy that they actually end up being good entertainment.
Crank 2: High Voltage.
Yeah I said it, now the first Crank was good, interesting concept and nice action scenes. A sequel looked unlikely due to the *SPOLIER ALERT* main character plummeting to his death at the end of the film *SPOILER END*. Chev Chelios retuns in the sequel and a hyperactive, bizarre, gross and not least very funny (unintentional?) film is the end result. I give it 8/10 on the bad film nothing else to watch scale.
Snakes on a Plane.
Samuel L Jackson is cool there is no getting away from that you could put the dude in an episode of Emmerdale Farm and it would be unmissable. Put him in a film with a plot written by an eight year old with a snake fetish and you get a quotable classic. Not wanting to spoil the plot for you it's about some err snakes on a plane thats about it. 7.5/10 on the cheese o' meter.
Shoot em' Up.
My personal fave, why you ask? Well its basically just a string of the most imaginative action set pieces that you will ever see. It also has three of the best actors around today in Paul Giamatti (Sideways,American Splendor,Duplicity), Clive Owen (Children of Men,Inside Man,Sin City) and the stunning Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Reloaded,Irréversible,Under Suspicion). I give it 10/10 action fest no brain rating.
The Hurt Locker. A great movie, really intense. Its about a bomb unit in Iraq. Super intense, and well made. I was a bit iffy on the fact that it was filmed in 16mm film instead of HD or anything, but it was spectacular. Really made me feel as if I was there in the action. The guy who played the main character was also an excellent actor. I'm not sure how widely distributed it is as its an independent film, but I highly recommend it!
Like I said, it was made to entertain people, I bet most people in the theater with you were laughing at the dog humping and the special brownies. Bad acting and a story filled with plot holes. Just a summer blockbuster
It was like watching a parody of a horror film, I thought it was lame. It seemed like all they wanted to do was gross you out the entire time. It just didn't work for me. I give it one star (out of 5)
I saw Transformers in IMAX! The best experience ever! That is definitely how you watch a movie.... In imax! Yeah it got bad reviews but I thought it was awesome. It was funnier with lots of action.... Full of action actually. I would say it is about as good as the first or better.... I recommend
Oh and how you said the movie is an entire an scene kinda true but the reason for that is the director michael bay, he always has action packed movies, so its kinda expected

Apart from the beach watch style scene with megan fox, leading to me needing a quick change of underwear, I found it really samey and its true that its just one huge action scene with no real plot the speak of. At the end I was just praying for it to finish
