Thirteengoals (Arsenal) 2 years ago

[account-removed] 2 years ago
Don't let the voice fool you. There's a reason I call her "Miss Wolf"
Thirteengoals (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Now you tell me
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Awesome thread. I wonder if your actually a girl or a 7 year old boy though.
[account-removed] 2 years ago
@TheBarcaShow Omg f**k you I'm 18
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Take it easy; I knew you weren't a kid, but you do have a voice that could be mistaken for that of a kid. Might be a bit annoying for you, but I think it's cute. Maybe the fact I think it's cute annoys you even more though.

Awesome topic though, really good idea!
[account-removed] 2 years ago
@Jeroen Lmao I'm kidding. I'll prob re-record with the Italian & Dutch names, maybe I'll sound a bit more like myself the second time around
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Allright, cool Looking forward to hearing you say my name (try 'Jeroen', I bet you'll fail ) and those other names I listed
[account-removed] 2 years ago
@Jeroen ---
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
How the hell? You nailed it! Good job. You even got the rolling 'r' sound right! I kinda feel like Rumpelstiltskin now. I thought no English-speaking person would ever be able to get it right, haha.

So yeah.... You win one of the following prizes:
* My old collection of broken Nirvana albums
* A coupon for a 10% discount in a Belgian supermarket that expires tomorrow
* The super special box of mystery!

Choose wisely...
[account-removed] 2 years ago
@Jeroen I want pannekoeken & a Gers Pardoel album
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
I'll do mine later and you can make fun of me later too. I apologize if I have insulted you though
[account-removed] 2 years ago
@TheBarcaShow You haven't at all! I wasn't being serious (:
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
I didn't even know who Gers Pardoel was until I google'd him, but I could make you some mean pannenkoeken! I just made some verloren brood this morning, which is basically the same, but better.

Om nom nom!
[account-removed] 2 years ago
@Jeroen I know you're from Belgium, but I visited Amsterdam last summer & I miss it so much. We went to Bruges briefly cus of the film haha
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Whoa that looks awesome. What is it? Some type of bread? Reminds me of french toast
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Bread that's gone hard, soaked in egg yolks, baked in a frying pan with a dash of sugar It's amazing how good bread you'd normally toss away can be when you give it a twist like that. Really easy to prepare too, you should try it!

@rr: we should catch up about Amsterdam; part of my family is from there and I go there once in a while to visit my cousins
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Just egg yolks? Or beaten eggs? I used to do this for my french toast although it wasn't old bread though and instead of sugar it was.... The Canadian replacement to it.... Maple syrup
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
We should probably continue this conversation on our walls though Short answer: you can do both: egg yolks, or beaten eggs
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
I think we would be doing FT an injustice if this wasn't shared but okay
[account-removed] 2 years ago
Trust you both to turn it into a daytime cookery show
JestaYNWA (Liverpool) 2 years ago

[account-removed] 2 years ago
Aussie Surfer dude. Solidarity boat. There's a pattern emerging here....

JestaYNWA (Liverpool) 2 years ago
This ^^ is what happens when certain people abandon the solidarity boat in favour of success and victory, leaving me to row to shore all by myself...
ScouserDan (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Jesta you're a surfer now.... Got to deal with it!
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Haha, Jesta you have a radio voice mate. And your wit would make me a listener too! Nice 4 minutes of pure Aussie awesomeness. Loving the Beck reference

Theo (Chelsea) 2 years ago

Malik (Barcelona) 2 years ago
He's authentic Malaysian, LOL
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
I'm loving this, but unfortunately I don't have a microphone, or one of those in-built thingies.

By the way, I'd like to add a few names to the challenge. Most of the Belgium players have their names horribly mauled by English and definitely Spanish commentators. See what you make of these:

Thomas Vermaelen, Thibaut Courtois, Dries Mertens, Toby Alderweireld, Christian Benteke, Kevin De Bruyne.

And I'll throw in some Italians because it's always funny to hear English-speaking people pronounce Italian: Alessandro Del Piero, Claudio Marchisio, Gianluigi Buffon, Emanuele Giaccherini, Alotta Fagina
[account-removed] 2 years ago
I'm with you on this one. Would love to do it, but don't have a microphone as yet. Grr
Fabby (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Ima add these names to ma list when I do my own recording, but I gotta' say toby alrderweireld will prolly get butchered by me lol
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Got me beat on the Toby Alderweireld. No idea how to say that
HaRdCoReMaN (Chelsea) 2 years ago

[account-removed] 2 years ago
Business as usual for PeterzeGooner. Heck bud, you might as well be putting on a suit and a tie as you read through the list
PeterzeGooner (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Thanks guys.... How comes ya'll haven't posted yours?
[account-removed] 2 years ago

Gunnerful (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Double post
Gunnerful (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Triple post!
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Haha, thanks for adding those Dutch & Italian names. Pretty funny you pronounced Toby Alderweireld exactly the way it should be pronounced, but Jeroen, Courtois, De Bruyne and especially Dries Mertens are completely wrong, hehe.

Wish I had a mic here :/
ManOnDMoon (Manchester City) 2 years ago
Well done with Italian names!
[account-removed] 2 years ago
For a second, I thought I was listening to Andy Gray. Was waiting for a joke about female refs
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Fabby good to hear a Scottish accent! feel right at home now!
Fabby (Arsenal) 2 years ago
^ Your welcome mate haha.

Jeroen, you should do one, so I can get those names right. I have only heard the english commentator version, so its the only ones I know
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Well, like I said I wish I could. But I have one of those asocial computers without a webcam or a microphone. I just use it for work, to watch footy and listen to music.

I'll find you a Belgian youtube clip with some of those names pronounced right

Alderweireld (Dutch-speaking player):

Kevin de Bruyne (Dutch-speaking player):

Eden Hazard (French-speaking player):

Benteke (French-speaking player):

WhiteHartRogue (Tottenham Hotspur) 2 years ago
Managed it on my ipad.     Link: snd.sc/Xzt3Z2
[account-removed] 2 years ago
So strange to actually place a voice to you after knowing you for 2 years. Lol. Somehow, your voice suits you. Always in a rush and making typos and correcting them, even in speech. Hehe
Thirteengoals (Arsenal) 2 years ago
One thick accent
HaRdCoReMaN (Chelsea) 2 years ago
Never thought you are an english, lol. I wanna hear some scouser(if anyone could do it) Edit: you sounds exactly like lampard in the beginning
WhiteHartRogue (Tottenham Hotspur) 2 years ago
Lol, I sound different in real life if that makes sense.  I was in a rush, lol
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Maybe it would be cool to add where you live and what accent you supposedly have? For example: Birmingham, UK: Brommie. Or Vancouver, Canada: eh?
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
I don't have no accent eh. I really don't say eh after every sentence eh
St1or (Barcelona) 2 years ago
I guess I have a Canadian accent with a touch of Persian, Farsi, French and food in my mouth!
EarnYourSpurs (Tottenham Hotspur) 2 years ago
Please forgive my strong Romanian accent. Link: vocaroo.com/i/s0YdyIW1ONrw

Kingleo (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
You're from T&T Kingleo? I never knew that! There are other Barça fans from T&T too I believe, which is pretty odd considering the size of the country
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
The Carribean is home to the best accent's imo
Kingleo (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Yeah football and cricket has the biggest followings back home
St1or (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Here we go!     Link: vocaroo.com/i/s1pLwS32Qx0g    Canadian, eh?
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Hehe, liked the sneaky Özil comment Good to hear your voice Farhad! It's fun to hear people's actual voices here. For some reason I didn't expect your English to be so fluent even though I know you're from Canada. Your pronunciation is very good too. You're doing the Barça faithful proud man
St1or (Barcelona) 2 years ago
LOL! I had to sneak it in! Everyone will agree with me come 2 years time

And haha.... Did you really think my English is broken I'd like to think my English is pretty good

And of course man! Barça 'for life', eh?
St1or (Barcelona) 2 years ago
LOL! I had to sneak it in! Everyone will agree with me come 2 years time

TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
St1or I would never have been able to guess your ethnicity from the sound of your voice
HaRdCoReMaN (Chelsea) 2 years ago
Nice comment towards Di matteo lol
Jeroen (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Nono, your English is perfect of course (you ARE Canadian after all), but I somehow never thought it would be. Just like I couldn't believe you're related to realfan, haha
St1or (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Lol that's okay I guess
HaRdCoReMaN (Chelsea) 2 years ago
I really wanna hear Magneto's indian accent, or he already lost it?
[account-removed] 2 years ago
Lol. I have no idea what levels my accents are at. I tend to soak in the accent of the place I am at. While with my ex, I had a hint of an Canadian accent mixed with my Indian one. Speaking to my flatmate back when I was in the UK, I used to have an Indian-Italian accent come through. Now, I don't know what sort of accent I have. Don't talk nearly as much as I type
HaRdCoReMaN (Chelsea) 2 years ago
I read that in Indian accent. I am mixed with 5 races but pretty much raised and live in Malaysia. And tbh I can talk in malaysian accent but its funny to hear(or you guys completely won't understand). Btw sounds like your job is pretty much mostly infront of the computer
Fabby (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Magneto, get out and talk to people . My job is in front of a computer too, but don't spend your free time on it as well!
Fabby (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Double goddamn post! D:
EarnYourSpurs (Tottenham Hotspur) 2 years ago
Lol, half canadian, half indian accent. I need to hear this now.... Thank yoo veldy much, eh
[account-removed] 2 years ago
Talking to people involves finding people. That means stepping out of the house. The sun deals 2d3 damage! I do spend most of my time in front of the comp. Nature of the job, 12-15 hours in front of it a day, considering I have most of my relaxation coming from either that or the PS3 as a gaming addict
Thirteengoals (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Magneto to busy playing fm2013
