FIFA 14 Ultimate Team Guide: Chemistry Hints And Tips
Matt (Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
So we will start of this guide with a delve into the mysteries of the new chemistry system.

This is not to be confused with the new 'chemistry styles' modifiers despite its very similar use of the word chemistry etc. This is simply the everyday construction of your team to help get the most out of your players.

It is quite complicated so we created a handy guide (click to view full size):

Here are the basics.

  • +1 Chemistry if the player was found in a pack OR plays 10 matches for you.

  • +1 Chemistry if the player plays in the same league or shares nationality with your manager (league switch cards are available for managers)

  • +3 Chemistry by playing the player in the position indicated on his card i.e. LM in the LM spot.

Here is the not so basics.

  • You can obtain 0, 3 or 6 additional chemistry points depending on the players that are linked together

  • Each line coming into a player can yield up to 3 matching attributes. Possible matching attributes are Nationality, League and Team (obviously if teams match so will league).

  • The number of connecting players (outgoing lines) determines the number of matching attributes required obtain a chemistry bonus.

    • 5 Connected Players: Share 0-1 attributes = 0 Chem Bonus; Share 2-4 attributes = 3 Chem Bonus; Share 5+ attributes = 6 Chem Bonus

    • 4 Connected Players: Share 0-1 attributes = 0 Chem Bonus; Share 2-3 attributes = 3 Chem Bonus; Share 4+ attributes = 6 Chem Bonus

    • 3 Connected Players: Share 0 attributes = 0 Chem Bonus; Share 1-2 attributes = 3 Chem Bonus; Share 3+ attributes = 6 Chem Bonus

    • 2 Connected Players: Share 0 attributes = 0 Chem Bonus; Share 1 attribute = 3 Chem Bonus; Share 2+ attributes = 6 Chem Bonus

  • To get the totals needed you can make it up with any combination of connecting players with 3,2,1 or 0 matching attributes

Simple huh! So here is a quick example.

Say we have a LB who plays for Manchester United(Premier League) and is French he has 2 connecting players (LM and CB). the LM plays for Real Madrid(Liga BBVA) and is Portugese. The CB position plays for Chelsea(Premier League) and is English. Now in this example out of the potential 6 attribute matches the LB has 1 with the CB (Premier League <> Premier League) so therefore would receive a +3 chemistry bonus.

If you have any tips let us know below and we will update as we get more.
