I've had both ps3 and 360. And I find there is no difference. Except that my 360 got the rings of death (red ring) which meant it would no longer work. So ps3 is better

I dontsee the reason why these console users feel the need to put down the rival brand. People have what they have, get over it and keep moving along

One of the main reasons is because certain titles favour one console over another (I. E. The Fable series), the technology that both companies use (I. E. Microsoft clearly having a better system than the Move), as well as the deals that each company offers (I. E. The PSN system is FREE and is reliable - not so much when it comes to EA titles, however).

The quality of games and the console itself delivered by Sony is better than that of Microsoft. However, it doesn't matter which console is better, they're both machines with their own selection of games and features.

There doesn't need to be put downs of the other brand, but failure to acknowledge a favoured brand's shortcoming often leads to such endless debate
