Did you miss me?

I bet you though we has stopped doing this but no here we are back with a fresh set of computer predictions and this year its even bigger with over/under predictions thrown in for free!

The reason we have not posted any of these before is that our predictions program needs data to crunch and we believe that recent data is the only relevant kind so we had to wait until we had enough data for the predictions this season.

Last week the predictions program correctly forecast the results of 8 out of the 10 games on (you will have to take our word for that). This week might be a bit lower than that with some tight matches around. So here is the data:

Newcastle United v Chelsea
Home pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away pitch = 6600 sq meters
Home team is used to playing on a larger pitch, likelihood of 75min + goal
Verdict = HOME WIN
LIKELY SCORE
1-0
Good bet for under 2.5

Fulham v Manchester United
Home pitch = 6500 sq meters
Away pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away team is used to playing on a larger pitch
Verdict = AWAY WIN
LIKELY SCORE
1-3
Good bet for over 2.5

Hull City v Sunderland
Home pitch = 6820.4 sq meters
Away pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away team is used to playing on a larger pitch
Verdict = HOME WIN
LIKELY SCORE
1-0
Good bet for under 2.5

Manchester City v Norwich City
Home pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away pitch = 7140 sq meters
Verdict = HOME WIN
LIKELY SCORE
Home Avg
3-1
Good bet for over 2.5

Stoke City v Southampton
Home pitch = 6600 sq meters
Away pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away team is used to playing on a larger pitch
Verdict = DRAW
LIKELY SCORE
1-1
Good bet for under 2.5

West Bromwich Albion v Crystal Palace
Home pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away pitch = 6600 sq meters
Home team is used to playing on a larger pitch, likelihood of 75min + goal
Verdict = HOME WIN
LIKELY SCORE

Good bet for over 2.5

West Ham United v Aston Villa
Home pitch = 6839.44 sq meters
Away pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away team is used to playing on a larger pitch
Verdict = AWAY WIN
LIKELY SCORES
1-2
Good bet for over 2.5

Arsenal v Liverpool
Home pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away pitch = 6868 sq meters
Home team is used to playing on a larger pitch, likelihood of 75min + goal
Verdict = HOME WIN
LIKELY SCORE
3-1
Good bet for over 2.5

Everton v Tottenham Hotspur
Home pitch = 6832.64 sq meters
Away pitch = 6700 sq meters
Home team is used to playing on a larger pitch, liklihood of 75min + goal
Verdict = DRAW
LIKELY SCORE
0-0
Good bet for under 2.5

Cardiff City v Swansea City
Home pitch = 6952.5 sq meters
Away pitch = 7140 sq meters
Away team is used to playing on a larger pitch
Verdict = AWAY WIN
LIKELY SCORE
1-2
Good bet for over 2.5

A couple there that I would avoid, namely Newcastle v Chelsea and what is likely to be a fierce derby between Cardiff and Swansea.

Also take a look at the new data relating to pitch size, this can be useful in play when a team is pushing in the 75th + minute against a side that is not used to playing on a larger pitch.

Let me know your predictions and lets see how we do!
