He doesn't understand the phrase 'poor' to mean bad performance. He is always thinking of buying players for record signing. So, don't blame him if he responded that manner. In as much as it would be a shame for Shitty not to win anything this year, I sincerely want them to fail. Not that I hate city, but cos of what that na$ri did to my beloved arsenal. He is the reason we are still far behind in the league. When I say he is the reason, I don't mean if he had stayed, we would have been at the top, I mean the emotional stress his departure caused the players made us to perform badly at the start of the season. But thank God we are showing some signs of improvement
This is called ManCity fall.... Mancini's ego fall.... If this goes on everything will fall, even the league. Mancini should reconsider bringing Carlos Tevez until he sells him
Its good that he doesn't play tevez. Otherwise tevez would of got what he wanted. He shouldn't be allow to be play for them since he didn't listen twice
Hart made some brilliant saves in the first half. Reina and liv's defence did the same. So I dun think there should be any luck here and there. City played well the later stage of the first half, and dominated the 2nd. Reina and liv's defence stood firm, and a deserved win for them. But a disgrace? Far from disgrace
@cali86: liverpool has enough creative midfielders, we just need finishing. And yeah maybe we can only score from penalties, but that's how we won the championsleague in 04-05 against you
Yess! Now we need to take care of city at home, which shouldn't be that difficult at all. Where are the city fans now.... Out of carling cup, almost out of FA Cup, and if you can't win EPL then don't ever talk s**t about other ppl's club. Whose under pressure now.... With that much money spent, gluck winning any kind of silverware. Haha
You are so excited that you are mistyping. It is out of FA cup, almost out of carling cup and not the other way round. Very happy for liverpool. I really want teams to show city that Histories are not always built with money. If you can succeed in dumping them out of CC, I know the frustration will make them falter in the premier league. As for Europa, they have Man United to deal with them. Mr Nasri, I am happy for you that you left to win trophies
Yo are you kidding? What do you mean it shouldn't be that difficult? You played a City without Silva and Yaya. That's like half the team right there. And what about Liverpool? Penalty is probably the only way you guys can score. You guys need a creative midfielder as bad as United does...
I think we played a city with yaya and silva, and without bellamy and gerrard in the premier league drawing 1-1 just few months back if I remember correctly. And from what I hear Yaya may be on international duty, and David Silva is doubtful due to his injury. Heck! I'm not scared Liverpool is a different team in Anfield. And we have beaten stronger teams in the past with an edgy sqaud. So yea I say it shouldn't be that difficult, but I never said its going to be easy. These pestering people never let you enjoy a win. And thanks Arsenal4great for the correction, I was indeed too happy. We got our revenge. Haha. Also, yea man Nasri left Arsenal when they needed him the most, Wenger f*****g bred him and nurtured his talent, and he backstabbed Arsenal. No wonder Arsenal's midfield was in shambles in the early season. Serves him right going for silverware only. And Cali86 I don't even wanna bad mouth AC Milan cause I have loved AC Milan and Juventus since back in the days, and have lots of respect for em. You guys had Pirlo in his prime and I have always regarded him as the most intelligent midfield player with the likes of zizou, so I won't say much on that. Also agreed we need creative midfielders, but take your hatorade somewhere else brother. Personally, I thought we displayed a fantastic defensive performance away from home
I am not sure what is all the taunting and bashing about. Maybe some city fan flamed your arse some time ago. Lol. But you can't take every of their comments seriously. Especially on a page like footytube. Lots of unreasonable comments.
But then it was a fair game. Liv played well. City did well too imo. Just that liv came out stronger.
And just wanna say this, you can never buy history, true enough. But then, its a modern footballing game now. Its a totally different ball game 10-20 years back. Arsenal, man utd, liverpool, they were all at the top flight for the past decades. They were always there, even chelsea, and tottenham always lurking from behind. Its never easy to fight for the top spot with the squad and depth that city has many years back. And bear in mind, city was playing 2nd Div bout in 1999, that's only 13 years ago, when utd was winning everything, liverpool was king of europes, and then the arsenal invisible era. Without the investments, city will never be here. Maybe all of you guys would just prefer city to be fighting to avoid relegation season after season. Or maybe city should just stay in 2nd Div and try to win their 8th 2nd Div title. That would be just ideal for all the "big and historical" teams I suppose. Just saying
Umm.... I blame mancini.... The substitutions he makes are ridiculous. He took balotelli out and left Adam johnson who wasn't playing well. I know ballo wasn't doing much but he is like that. He gets inspired 30 seconds and turns any game around. I think nasri, dzeko, Ballo, Aguero could have done the job the second half...
Also seems like Cali86 is secretly a City fan in the closet, comeout and stop disgracing Milan and the San Siro Fans, with your stupidity. Balotelli was taken out cause he is still recovering. Also, I see you where putting up quite the fight with Utd fans after city's loss, and now you're back here fighting against us Reds. We eat fake fans like you for breakfast. Haha smh
Doesn't matter who Cali supports, he can say what ever he wants. But about balo, I think he is still recovering. That's why he was taken off. Or maybe bcuz its tactical. They created more chance with nasri. But then you might argue, balo could turn things around. You also have to keep in mind, he can turn thigns around for the worst as well. Lol
Fans and media is always very cynical. Benitez made a crazy substitution bringing on hamman in the champions league final against milan, when they were losing 3-0 at half time. Made such a difference and liv crawled back to win. They worshiped him like god. Then a poor run of performance in the league after that, everyone saying benitez is poor tactically. That's how things can turn around when you don't do well.
If you read the article (which I'm sure you must be capable of doing) you'd understand that most people aren't arguing Johnson should of got a red card, they're just highlighting the inconsistency. Kompani's card was a disgrace, but two wrongs don't make a right
I'm afraid your argument makes no sense, or maybe I don't understand it, but I doubt that....
If you agree that Kompani shouldn't have received a red card then you should agree with the decision on johnsons tackle. The issue here is with referees consistency and that is why many man city fans feel aggrieved.
I would agree that there's lacking in consistency among referees. Or maybe because the idea of a 2 footed tackle is subjective among referees. So, if kompany's sees red, johnson should as well.
But comparing both kompany's and johnson's tackle, I think it very very different. The only similarity is that 2 legs were off the ground. But jonhson was much higher, 2 legs gelled together charing in, was coming in at high pace, no control of his body what so ever
Ok I appreciate that, but bear in mind with johnson's that he came from the side whereas Kompani was front on, had contact been made with nani it could potentially have been much more dangerous because of this
Errm.... I don't quite see the logic whether its the side, the front or the back. Still its going towards a player's legs. Damage can be done no matter where its coming from. You're saying "if" contact was made, I think johnson's tackle would have been much worst, considering the speed that he is coming in
Its a clean tackle.... Both were but when the ref shows red for that its because the players know they are not allowed to.... Both kompani and johnson deserved reds.... Whtehr from the side or front it don't matter.... The range of the tackle are the studs and when you tackle with both feet there is not way from preventing your studs from showing and if catching the player.... Hurting them
He should at least got the warning from the ref. Same as Kompany I think, it was just a yellow card or warning instead. Since he got the ball and the challenge is dangerous. But it happened anyway. Ref on pressure and they should have done better and better, because game is what we need. If they ruin it, then shame for football!
Just like kompany said, if they're gonna' put on such dilemma, when you can brand a tackle as "dangerous" and give a red instantly, then it would be a different English Premier League from now on. Red cards will be brandishing everywhere constantly
Oh God WetporridgeCTID.... You are a prime example for the reason that I sometimes regret being a City fan. No one likes someone flaunting around their wealth and money. True City fans watch for the quality, slowly building chemistry, and fantastic build-up of City. In fact, I hope we don't buy player, and hope we even out our winning by losing a few games. It takes pressure of the management and players, and shuts United up for a few seasons until they accept "the noisy neighbors" aren't going anywhere, and we can develop our history like other teams, and win silverware without spending 500, 000 GBP every transfer window. Phew, feels good to get that out!
Not trying to have a go at anybody though. But nobody seems to complain when city only have dickov, eyal berkovich, nicky weaver etc. And sun jihai was left back, right back, left wing, right wing, CDM. And now the spot light is on city. And its like City vs the rest of the world. Give them a break
I heard levandowsky and robben are interessted in a contract.... .... .... .... .... .... Not. Maybe you should stop the shopping and focus on a solid team build up and make your team communicate faster, better, less selfish. But offcourse you can't do that since your a fan.... Ha. (kneeslap)
I know how many ppl hates nasri for leaving arsenal. But I think they should get over it. Its a disgrace taunting a player like that. Plus, he did well coming on for balo against liverpool
Chances are there but city look shaky lately. Even with teams like west brom and sunderland. So I wouldn't wanna get carried away. In fact, city was never in a comfortable position. This will test the true characters of their players and managers. Would be interesting to see how it turn out
Good win for Liverpool to begin with. Gerrard looks solid. And boy I miss bellamy. Haha.
But then, don't see how city was voted rubbish. And I'm not sure why John Barnes having a go at city as well, saying city had nothing to offer. Seems like he only choose to watch the first 20-30 minutes of the game. Hart made a few brilliant saves. Same goes to Reina. And city looked more dangerous in the 2nd half. Created more chances, had more possession. But couldn't turn into a goal though.
Good job to both teams I would say although city is on the losing side
There you go gooner! Real class-act. Rip on Nasri who is potentially one of the best midfielders in the EPL. He played well for Arsenal. Be happy and move on. Have some respect for a player who you probably once called your favorite, or celebrated his goal with friends happily. Have respect and courtesy...
I do by all means.... He played well for United and West Ham, Boca Juniors etc.... He is a fantastic player, and just because I'm a City fan doesn't mean I'm one of the ignorant, hypocritical ones
