That is a tuff call.... The ball his his foot then onto his hand, and not with standing that, there was no obvious advantage if the ball was to not hit his hand. Very very unlucky
If I am a Man City supporter I might agree with you, but I'm biased here so I don't care . Well, you guys got the EPL up and running anyway, so go all the way for it. We're just happy that we're able to go to a cup final after a long years of not doing so, even if it is just a Carling Cup
Mancini is becoming ridiculous match after match with his ridiculous statements. He says that was not a penalty.... The guy clearly needs to go and learn the football basics before coming out & running his mouth all the time ! No doubt Stevie G told him to STFU in the post-match interview in the first leg ! He's fastly becoming a sore loser just like bacon-face Fergiedick !
Soldado is not bad but Cavani would be a much better option IMO. As far as I understand we were in for Van Wolfswinkel but he's currently injured and the move is on hold
Unlucky to give away the pen from Richards- but his hands were up and the ball was still travelling to the goal. To not give a penalty there would have been very controversial.... All in all, great performance from the Reds, we definitely deserved to win. However, I'm sad to say we look like a different team w/o Carrol in the lineup. I've been a supporter of his since his form has dipped, but it is clear that we play with much more fluidity and bite without him leading the line. I still hope he'll wake up from this funk, but his time is clearly running out...
I think his problem is much more personal. I don't think he wanted to leave Newcastle. He has the ability to be great and play in a pass and move style. He's not motivated, out of shape, and has huge pressure on him. If he just tries his hardest and the team gets behind him and plays that killer ball, I think he will be just fine.
MadGnu2, I think it means that with him being a United fan, he never thought he'd see the day that he cheered on Liverpool, you know, with us being rivals and that .... I think all United fans were cheering on Liverpool today, I'd rather see Liverpool lift the trophy over City!
Agreed with Fastrail though I must say it will be painful to watch if Man UTD wins another league but I do prefer it to a team that buys the trophy All in all though great win for the REDS! Ynwa
