Brilliant performance from Bolton. Full value for the win. Shocking defending from Liverpool. Could have done better stopping the first goal. It was like Moses opening up the red sea in two and just walked through lol

Ref was bad.... However.... We looked amateur and pedestrian for most of the match. We kept passing to reina so much he was basically playing sweeper. Enrique looked lost for some reason, he's dealt with some of the best wide men in the premier league and today he looked like a kid.

For the team with the second best defence in the premier league.... Today was not a proud day.

Low points: Adam's tackling, maxi and carroll's first touches, hendo and carroll's positioning.... And everyone's crossing. Stevie g couldn't get forward at all to orchestrate any sort of attack because he was playing defensive mid (I miss Lucas VERY MUCH), and finally.... Finishing (missing suarez, need a clinical finisher before the ened of the transfer window)

High points: bellamy is a beast (if only a wee little one), carroll got an assist and despite my qualms with him above had a better performance than usual, agger coming forward looked really dangerous.

Bolton never looked like relegation candidates and in fact played with a confidence rarely seen this season, well played and good luck with the rest of the season.

Long ago were the days when clubs were actually afraid to play liverpool

A highly disappointing performance from Liverpool. There aren't very many highlights to take from this one from a Reds perspective, Kenny must be right in saying that Liverpool were under-prepared for this one. The usually reliable defence had a shocker, the midfield was lacking in inspiration and the attack was quiet except for Bellamy.

It shows that Liverpool need a clinical finisher and a creative midfielder to add some spark, and just how much they miss Suarez and Lucas at the moment.
