Benayoun is completely on fire, shooting on sight, beating defenders and providing as well as setting up goals. So far, we've really only seen potential from Riera.
Normally I prefer riera on the wing, he is a decent player and often provides solid assists or even goals. On the other hand has yossi been playing very well in the last matches. I think he is the goal scoring guy, where riera is the assist-guy. So I would prefer benayoun just behind torres and riera on the wing
They are both good and they don't BOTH have to play on the wings. I think we can play Yossi behind Torres and Riera on the left! Then, play gerrard between the 2 wingers and Mascherano as the defensive midfielf rock! --------torres---------- -----benayoun--------- Riera---gerrard---kuyt- -------mascherano-----
They do not play the same way. So we do not use them in the same circumstance that depends on the tactics implemented by benitez. Benyoun is more complete scorer, smuggler worker. Riera is a true side and center overflowing. But generally I prefer Benayoun
I think Riera is better to be on the wingside.... Benayoun showed us that he is a very good striker and he has a great ability to score.... A center position is therefore better for Benayoun
I'd for sure take Benayoun right now he's playing great and is taking some of the pressure off of Torres and Gerrard to do it all

Anyone with football knowledge would choose Benayoun.... As he has both feet & can play anywhere really in the attk. Reira on the other hand is VERY 1 footed & very predictable, he doesn't impress me one bit to be honest
Benayoun is playing fantastic right now and to not play him would be stupid. But I like riera better on the wing so maybe they could both fit into the lineup somehow
I wonder what the line up will be when Aquillani is fit. You have to assume that Masch and Gerrard are automatic choices, especially away from home; Aquillani being a creative, attack minded midfielder, somewhat like Gerrard with better feet, Yossi will have to look for starts on the wings instead. If it were down to be I would pick Yossi for home games (flair and constant pressure) and Riera for away games (physical presence on set pieces and width). I like the competition for places we have in the squad at the moment, my hope is that Ryan starts believing in his own ability and push Kuyt for a start on the right wing. I want to see everyone playing well and Liverpool winning games, that's all that matters in the end. Team selection is Rafa's headache and if the players keep performing like they are, he'll have a right banging one too.
