Will Real Madrid Shine Next Season?
EmYouEffSee (Manchester United) 2 years ago
The chances of Real Madrid winning (buying) silverware next season, on paper, seem pretty high, with the likes of kaka, ronaldo, maybe ribery? , and benzema, lets also not forget the ones who are already on the team: casillas, sergio ramos, robben, and guti. But seeing as how they only won the champions league once with zidane, roberto carlos, and figo, and after (now-fat)ronaldo joined the team they only won domestic titles.... Do they have what it takes to win big, or will all this superstardom cause them to flop?
JosiahsOnFire (Barcelona) 2 years ago
I can't say for sure....

Either they play ridiculously well and dominate.... OR they have no chemistry and it becomes a massive flop.... Either way people are going to be saying "I told you so" depending on which way it goes....

I'm a Barca fan.... I said I couldn't care less when they got Kaka.... But now Ronaldo and Benzema!? Those three quality players makes me a little nervous!

Let's not forget though, Barca just won the treble.... So Real Madrid can't expect to instantly buy their way to a league title or anything....

One things for sure though....

La Liga is going to be bloody interesting!
ManUK (Manchester United) 2 years ago
Really? I really don't know It's a toss up weather they'll  Play well together
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
I think all three will play lovely football! There style suit each other ! They play similar they go directly to the goal! If real madrid is smart the should play them as benzema the st ronaldo rf and kaka lf because there style suit each other the will be sick! There is no doubt only injuries can stop this team!
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I think they will. The players are full of confidence. And are all eager to score
JohnnyG (Manchester United) 2 years ago
Exactly, that might be their downfall. How can they score if everyone wants to do it individually?
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Injury and ball hogging are going to be the main problems. It might work out but it would take a good coaching staff
Cristiano9rocks (Real Madrid) 2 years ago
Yes, they will shine! And more, yes I agree with Ramos they are full with confidence! The only thing is hopefully they will not try to be the "star" that shines instead the "team" that shines!
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Haha A Clash of ego's. You will see ronaldo sliding into kaka Meanwhile Benzema having an one on one with Huntellah

But in all seriousness I really think they can shine. They are good enough to anyways
Ltm017 2 years ago
They can shine and will they.... I don't know. They have a good chance but I think they will flop. just because I'm bias.

However I agree that it will take team effort and not star effort which is something everyone can bet on but we really have to wait and see how they mesh
ZidaneTheLagend (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Thay better do or.... .... Many things lol don't tell me thay will not do well with all of them signings ill be :0
Ltm017 2 years ago
Yes you and just about everyone else one here. But not I!    I will not be shocked one bit
Santillanavila 2 years ago
They will if Pelligrini (is that how you spell the coaches name?) can deal with the superstars and use them to their fullest. He has to be tough and become ronaldo's stepfather hahaha
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Well the manager has already had good spells in other countries. He done ever so well in ukraine and well he turned servilla into a top 4 side. I think he will succeed. The coach is different to other coachs. He improves by every game as he anylses and does his best to change after every game
Santillanavila 2 years ago
Hopefully he can deal with the stars though because frm what you said he has everything else. Good luck to him
Cristiano9rocks (Real Madrid) 2 years ago
Yes, Having kaka and ronaldo and all the others on the same team, the coach has to make the team "team" and not "ronaldo" or "kaka" but using all skills in "team" and for "team"!
Kimaway17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
They might be good or they might be bad. Like look at barca when they bought Herny Zambrotta Abidal Milito Yaya people said they will win the league easily. But they didn't. But Madrid has a better back up squad
VanPersie (Arsenal) 2 years ago
If they don't shine I think it will be because the players don't gell if kaka and Ronaldo gel well real madrid will shine. The whole season is up to those to I think
Ltm017 2 years ago
I completely agree.... It is automatically thought that they will just work great together but if they don't it will not be good
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
They will because kaka and benzema are humble ronaldo is not a bad guy I don't think he will cause conflict!
VanPersie (Arsenal) 2 years ago
I was not meaning conflict I was meaning understanding each other on the field, reading each others runs, combining with passes and each doing their fair share of work
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
They play similar but diffrent if you think about it they all like to run at the defence but the diffrence is kaka is unpredictible to where he will run too. Benzema runs direct to the goal and ronaldo like to drift on the wings they can all interchange the can all do it there all over 6 foot so there all dangerous in the box they all can take free kicks like are you kidding? They will be so sick next season ! Barca fans should be worried!
Ltm017 2 years ago
All I can do is shake my head! And no I'm not the least bit worried. They can bring it!
Elucari (Liverpool) 2 years ago
They'll go far in champions league, but they won't win
Tnadidas3 (Celtic) 2 years ago
I don't know. It's definitely a toss-up. Bear in mind that AC Milan was known as the team of superstars, but they did not win the league
StrikersMT28 (Seattle Sounders) 2 years ago
Ahhhh, but they were full of old superstars. Bid difference
Ragarsha (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Its a tough one, we can't judge a team by its superstars may they can do better than the last season if they buy one more defender, and sell the extra players because if not done the team morale will take a beating. I think next season they will target the champions league
Gavrazor (Manchester City) 2 years ago
I don't think this season they will play well together, but I think in maybe a few years when they all get to know how each other plays they will be awesome together, but it will take 2-4 years me thinks
Cristiano9rocks (Real Madrid) 2 years ago
Na, at the most a couple of months!
StrikersMT28 (Seattle Sounders) 2 years ago
I think we're all forgetting something here. How hard is it for a team to all of a sudden "buy" their way to victory over a club who won La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the UEFA champions league. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but Barcelona have made zero (nil, zilch, nada, cero) transfers in or out this summer. They have Krcic and Dani Alves on their way up as Henry and Eto'o age, and Messi is, in some people's minds, the best player in the world. Iniesta has skyrocketed in performance, and the likes of Xavi, Puyol, and Toure have stayed strong. They dismantled the best defence in the world in Manchester United, and right when Real made a push for the league, Barca handed them a 6-2 thrashing at the Bernabeau. Are we really already righting Barcelona off just because they didn't go out and become better when they didn't really need to get better? We assume that chemistry is a given when the 3 most expensive players in the world are at the same club. JeeZ!
Afrodinho13 (Sporting Kansas City) 2 years ago
Excellent point I think we are all over looking the common sense ov the situation. If going out and buying up all the talent worked, wouldnt every transfer mkt be like this? Teams going out dropping 300 mil and willing it all. Fortunately this rarely works. I think that the egos will be too big to share just one ball, and once the cure all panacea of winning that cr9 has enjoyed so heavily in his career is gone we will see bad attitude, and the ceremonial tossing of scapegoats under the proverbial bus. Hope not though bc even as a united supporter, I'm a beautiful footy supporter even more. And this team could go down as one of the best ever
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
Your wrong kaka I think also got a fair play award kaka is the most humble football player I have ever seen no wonder he's the imo right now !
Ellada10 (Olympiakos Piraeus) 2 years ago
Real madrid will do very good this year, they will go very far in the champions league I don't know if they are going to win it or not, they will put up a very good fight with barcelona for la liga real madrid will go far very far...
Wannabgunner (Arsenal) 2 years ago
I agree with this
I don't think at the moment I would rate them ahead of Barca mostly because of chemisty
Remember Barca hav had the same squad for almost two seasons now....
But I think they will challenge for silverwear this season
