Why Doesn't Peter Crouch Start For England?
HalaMadrid (Real Madrid) 2 years ago
It seems to me that everytime crouch plays he ends up on the score sheet, but yet he still doesn't have a spot on englands starting line up. Why?
Keong (Manchester United) 2 years ago
Mainly because he's not the starter for his club but the lad keep his chance well everytime he played, he will have his chance to shine for sure! I like his robotic celebration though! Lol

The robot was $

That's celebration is one of my favorite in Fifa 09 game.... Lol
It is probably because England has so many great players that it is not a matter of who is gonna' start first but how to manage some great plays when needed.... It is just my opinion

Also I think its the massive nose....
.... Actly england needs a versatile out and out scorer 0 darren bent anyone? Also heskey does not get enough credit - if you see the recent rooney interview he raves about how he loves playing off of heskey.
.... Unofficially though I'm going with massive nose as the reason

Few reasons.
1) He isn't a permanent lock down for his position in club football.
2)He isn't the best ball holding/shielding target man in England. Heskey and Carlton Cole plays better in that role.
3)If he's vying for the other striker's starting spot, he isn't as talented as Rooney or as quick as Defoe.
4)He doesn't have incredible strike rate until its impossible for Capello to leave him out.
5)Most of his goals in international games are against small countries. Big games requires bigger players perhaps?

This question is in my head since when! He should be in England's 1st 11 squad due to many reason! He can produce goals.... Wins almost all the headers.... Stays at proper positions for a counter attack.... Doesn't waste the chances which he gets excellent striking record.... Maybe be due to his less physical abilities he is dropped off again and again but you can't ignore him for long!
Hope to see more of him after this 3-0 win against Belarus he scored 2 goals in this match...

Crouch must be one of the most unlucky players around.

He had a good record at Pool but Rafa just does not seem to have the faith in him. Same with Fabio for England. He always scores when picked but always gets dropped almost immediately.

One thing great about him is that he never moans. He scores, gets dropped but still gets on with the job. He has a great professional attitude in my opinion.
