This year I think champions league is the most balanced tournament in history. Teams like Rubin Kazan,Unirea Urziceni, Besiktas,Zurich produced huge surprises beating teams like Manchester United,Milan or Barcelona. But in the final stages only the big teams will accede. In my opinion this year's final will be between Chelsea, which I think it is the most powerfull team in Europe now, and Barcelona(again), but this time Lampard&CO. Will revenge on Barcelona's last year 92min goal and will lift the trophy.
Do you think Real Madrid will even br in the semis?Or in the final on Santiago Bernabeu?
Chelsea and Barca as much as I hate to say it. Chelsea will have to win this year however. Still hoping for United to catch their stride and make it all the way once again
I agree with you. Chelsea and Barcelona are the two best teams. Already last year, Chelsea were the only team that rivaled Barcelona. This year these two teams have not changed and I feel more experienced. When barcelona and chelsea decide to play, nothing can stop
I would love to see Milan vs Barcelona or Milan vs Manchester United! In reality I think chelsea definitely would make it to the champions league final
As much as I hate to say this I think United gonna' get burned in the semi finals and make way for Barcelona and Real Madrid. I can never make myself belive that Chelsea is going to go all the way!
I think chelsea vs barca in the final with barca doing the double. Even though chelsea LOOK stronger I'm sorry I'm going with tradition fcchelsea would never win their first european CUP against a team like fcBarcelona ppl tend to forget they are NOT a european giant thus there is always the quaking possibility anybody remember 08-09 finals against ManU? Viva el Barca!
I kind of agree with R10girl really, both teams are performing brilliantly at the moment, and I would say they are the two best teams in Europe. They have both had excellent wins over their rivals on Sunday. But of course, nothing can be guaranteed and it never will be, and besides the final is in May, while now it is only November (well, it is December tomorrow). The outcome is hard to predict with those two, and it might not even happen. Here's a quick overview of what it would look like in Yogland:
Quarter Finals: Teams: Manchester United, Arsenal, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Valencia, Juventus, Chelsea.
Semi Finals: Teams: Chelsea, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid
And of course Chelsea and Barca in the final.competitions and matches aren't won on paper though, football is a team game so who knows what could happen
Well yogan. Intresting stuff here. As your prediction I'm happy to see barca vs chelsea in final. That's my dream final. As last year I wanted to see manchester united and barca. So, I hope barca vs chelsea in final. And in knockout round I want manchester united vs real madrid or chelsea vs real madrid. So one of my rival united or real madrid will go out for sure. Lets hope for the best.
As a barca fan I can tel you that whatever happens. Blues Chelsea are in the final for sure. A they have put some sort of best and commanding display in front of goal and they have been best in defence by keeping most cleensheets so far followed by birmingham in premierleague.
Probably another spain v england champions league final, but don't ask me who its gonna' be.... Lol, no one seems to be looking a class apart so far this season, all the big teams seem to be suffering with some kind of problem at the moment. I can't see anyone from outside these two countries breaking into the final. Its getting a bit like the spl.... Lol
I think it will be between Chelsea, Manchester United, Barca and real madrid.
But I think Bordeaux or Milan could be a surpise for the semis.
Right now I would have to say Chelsea are the favourites. If United use the transfer window well I believe we will meet them in the final, but that comes down to wether SAF wants to buy this January
I'd have to go with Barca v Chelsea. I don't see any Italian teams offering serious competition in the advanced stages of the competition although Milan might surprise a few. Real Madrid are one tactical blunder waiting to happen on the big stage.
It's a given however that I am nervous about things, 5 semi-finals over the past 6 years? Yikes, we need some luck. I do think however that this just has to be the year that we pull it off, the team has had a core bunch of players for so long that every defeat at the last hurdle stings and the players will have that in the back of their minds. It could lead to added pressure too, no doubt. Good thing Carlo is the tinkerman this time around, if there is anyone I'd trust to navigate through the knock-out stages through to the final, its him
