Who Are The Best Managers In The History Of The Game?
ACMilan21 (AC Milan) 3 weeks ago
There have been many managers in the history of football. Some have really revolutionised the game, and others not.... Which do you think are the best?

Ant (Liverpool) 3 weeks ago
If you're going to cut and paste other sites work to here, please link back to the original article. Better yet, just write something like

"The Times have written an excellent article about the best managers of all time, here is the link - Link: www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article24... "

The best way of all to do it would be to post your own, personal top 5 in your own words and then afterwards link to the Times article. Definitely don't post it as if it was all your own work

Arrigo Sacchi. Revolutionised our play in the late 80s
Manukid (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
I agree mate, good choice
Yogan09 (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago
As if Ben I doubt you even know him!
Andydelz (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
LOL. That was about 10 years before the 2 of ya was born
Riggs (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
Kind of an old article. Under sir alex it says clinch a second european cup and maybe he can get into the top 3. Well, he's done that. #1Sir alex, #2 Sir matt, the rest can read as it is. I think in the next few years the rankings would change again. Also, the list only really mentions managers of teams that were hugely successful. (No managers from a continent other than europe, or that managed team brazil.)

Tony (Manchester United) 3 weeks ago
Banner says it all, but still great managers with or without knighthoods.  And brian clough was different class.

This has many great managers.
I really do think Argio Sacchi, as well as the Real Madrid coach in the time of the Galacticos were the greatest. Anyone remember his name?
Andydelz (AC Milan) 3 weeks ago
You are saying Del Bosque? Current Spain's coach?
ACMilan21 (AC Milan) 3 weeks ago
Uh.... Who ever was Managing at the time of Bernabeu's presidency....  Do you know who that would be?
Andydelz (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
Huh? That was what? In the 50s? Errr.... Sorrie, didn't have any knowledge that far back...

Bill Shankly is all time greatest manager
ACMilan21 (AC Milan) 3 weeks ago
Why do you think that is though?
Theturksihkop (Liverpool) 2 weeks ago
He is the man whose football opinion seems like mine. It s my choice. And I respect the others
Taffy79 (Liverpool) 1 day ago
Totaly agree Shankly was the greatest manager ever
Zishan07 (AC Milan) 3 weeks ago

Do you really like Mourinho?
I don't really, and not because I'm a Milan fan, but because he doesn't really win anything big: champions league?
I suppose he is pretty good however

I like Mourinho's actions and his sense of humour, yet he's not bad of a manager at all either...
Eric (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
I wouldn't put Morinho in the top five and if I did I can't see how I could put him ahead of SAF
Acmilano (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
Fabio Capello is a great manager....His record speaks for itself. He has won titles with Milan, Roma, Juve, Madrid, and who knows, maby a world cup with England.

Also, Vittorio Pozzo, for those who don't know he won 2 successive world cups with Italy.

Cappello is good.... I guess you can really tell because he managed to turn the English national team around, and to make them one of the stronger forces of intenational football.
Before him, England couldn't even make it to the Euro
StadeNyonnais (Liverpool) 2 weeks ago
Engalnad have always been really good man, they could of turned around without capello, not saying that he isn't a good coach though, just that any big footballing nation can bounce back from a massive disappointment withou need ing an amazing coach
ACMilan21 (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
I'm pretty sure they did.
You can't just expect the players to do that by themselves.
It's not their job, it's the coaches, so they clearly need a good one
Senthil (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago

I think he will be the best coach, he is doing abest job in inter milan.Did you known he is playing with players during training. He is a great coach with chelsea and inter. Chelsea got champions cup mourinho as coach. I love him very much
Yogan09 (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago
Sir Alex Ferguson, Mourinho, Bobby Robson and Sir Alf Ramsey. They have all done so much for the club/country they have managed
ACMilan21 (AC Milan) 1 week ago
Why Mourinho.... Sure his ok.... But not the best...
Keong (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Sir alex ferguson is da best, I think?
ACMilan21 (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
I don't know about Mourinho.... Could you really say he's one of the best?
RoxiiUtd (Manchester United) 1 week ago
'You have to give Fergie credit. He has brought United on leaps and bounds.... The *******' - Liverpool's former manager, Gérard Houllier.
ACMilan21 (AC Milan) 6 days ago
Yeah Alex Ferguson is great. Shame he's so old.... I think United want Laurent Blanc to be the next great manager at Old Trafford and he's pretty good.... What do you think?
RoxiiUtd (Manchester United) 6 days ago
Ole Gunner Solskjaer is the man for me, he's doing a great job with our reserves and I think he can handle the big stage quite well with his humble, but wise personality he has got
Adamaus (Manchester United) 4 days ago
Although Ole he has done a awesome job with the reserves I think united would be hesitant to give him the job because the reserves is all he has had. He hasnt proved himself on the bigger stages. Laurent Blanc has
Rzv36 (Real Madrid) 5 days ago
