Arsene Wenger will receive an apology from the officials of the United vs Arsenal match.... The madness was caused in the 95th minute, where the 4th official and the Ref told Arsene to leave the ground.... And all he did was a kick a water bottle! Anyway, the officials involved in this madness will be saying sorry to the Arsenal manager....
I personally think it's ridiculous to send off a manager just because he kicked a water bottle! He's frustrated, cut the guy some slack! Have some common sense refs! He deserves to have an apology...
Managers have been sent to the stands for a lot less, the problem yesterday is how the officials dealt with it.
The referee just pointed to the stands and expected Wenger to find a suitable seat, which he failed to do quite spectacularily. Whether it was necessary in the 95th minute shouldn't be taken into consideration as it should be entirely based on the incident I suppose
Wenger was in all his right to be angry. Arsenal had just scored but it didn't count due to the Offside call. But Earlier in the game Arshavin was tackled in the box and was clearly a bad challenge that deserved a penalty call. I watched the replays over and over!
The incident was a total farce, so he kicked a water bottle who cares. The fourth official shouts the ref to grass in wenger for kicking a bottle, whats the point in the fourth official in my opinion they seem to agitate situations. Someone who stands at the side of the park for 90 minutes, why not use him as a video ref so he can relay the important issues (penalty decisions) to the ref instead of tedious issue like yesterday
Everyone knows it; the sending off was unnecessary, especially in the 95th minute of the match! As much of a loyal Man Utd fan I am, it has to be said that Arsene Wenger deserved the apology he recieved. The only thing the sending off managed to do was take eyes off the action on the pitch, gives the newspapers something to write columns about, and bring joy to every man utd (and spurs) fan in the world
Yeah, the referee lost his common sense there. Ok, kicking the bottle might have warrented being sent from the pitch (though I don't agree) but the referee should have used his judgement and just left it 60 seconds. Perhaps he enjoyed the thrill of making such big decisions in a huge match like that.
PS Arshavin should have gotten a penalty, absolutely obvious
