Vuvuzela Horns = Most Annoying Football Tool Ever?
Eric (Manchester United) 5 months ago
Who's been watching the Confederations Cup? More importantly, woh's been watching the cup with the sound on? There's nothing more soothing than the sounds of a massive cluster of swarming insects.... Am I right, or am I right? In all seriousness, these things need to go. Should they ban it for the world cup? They're apparently talking about it so I know I'm not alone in hating these things. I know when I'm there I'd much rather get down on some football chants than slobber in this big plastic horn. What do you guys think?
Mohsink (Ajax) 5 months ago
I agree with you here. I'm watching the Italy-Egypt game and first thing I notice are all the horns. Annoying!
Eric (Manchester United) 5 months ago
They really are terrible, I for one would much rather chanting and such, instead it'll all be drowned out by these damn insect swarm sound horns
Barca4life09 (Barcelona) 5 months ago
Ya!! I hate those things they gotta' fcukin go!
TFoAV (Aston Villa) 5 months ago
Yeah they should definitely ban that. That's ALL you hear, is the sound of the horns. It's gonna' drive me crazy by the time the final comes around, and I couldn't imagine what would happen if it was like this through the entire World Cup
Ben (Arsenal) 5 months ago
They make my ears bleed puke. It's like a million flies have invaded the stadium, I hate those filthy creatures and the noises they make.
Charlie (Barcelona) 5 months ago
Wait, are you talking about the horns or the tourists that fill Old Trafford?
Eric (Manchester United) 5 months ago
Hah jokester over here
Ant (Liverpool) 5 months ago
"Make my ears bleed puke" - I just did the proverbial LOL
Elucari (Liverpool) 5 months ago
I f**king wanna massacre everyone who owns one. It sounds like the droning of bees and makes the whole experience s**tty
Charlie (Barcelona) 5 months ago
.... .... .... ...
Elucari (Liverpool) 5 months ago
Yea yea yeah, i'll watch the language, srry
Samdagooner (Arsenal) 5 months ago
Quite passionate about those horns Elucari  I agree but not too that extent haha
Ben (Arsenal) 5 months ago
I hate that noise with a passion too, but murdering the owners Elucari, you're going too far. It's not even a viable solution.... Because eventually someone else will pick up the stray horns and start using them.
Darius (St. Louis Soccer United) 5 months ago
Yeah that was a little over the top. But your description of it sounding like bees drowning is spot on!

Blatter is leaning towards not banning it I believe according to that article
Ellada10 (Olympiakos Piraeus) 5 months ago
Yes that "instrument" is causing everybody to go crazy! That is a instrument.... And instrument of mass destruction!
Yombe10 (Arsenal) 5 months ago
I thought the broadcasting companies had tools to mute out certain sounds? Hmm, guess not...
ZidaneTheLagend (Liverpool) 5 months ago
Man thay are annoying!Gerrrrr I hope thay get band. I bet playes hate that sound
Adamaus (Manchester United) 5 months ago
Lol, I was going to make a post about this! And its not just when they score, its for the full 90 minutes! I mean give it a break, do they hand the horns out at the gate or something
Charlie (Barcelona) 5 months ago
Maybe its something they do in south africa, like the way ManU fans get drunk before every game.
Ba dum kkksshhh thak you, thank you, ill be here all week
Tom (Manchester United) 5 months ago
? Every team has fans that get drunk before every game, and whats wrong with getting drunk?
Eric (Manchester United) 5 months ago
Haha.... I hear even the players are bitching about it, most notably Xabi Alonso. He said something along the lines of it makes it difficult to communicate on the pitch and adds nothing to the atmosphere
Darius (St. Louis Soccer United) 5 months ago
If players start to complain about it then there needs to be immediate action. And ha ha Charlie "Ba dum kkksshhh" how long did it take you to put that in words?
Ant (Liverpool) 5 months ago
Its a bit of a stupid sound for sure, but as Blatter says its all part of the location. If you are in South America, you expect whistles, samba drums and hot women. At these games you get the incredibly loud sound of those horns
Adamaus (Manchester United) 5 months ago
I have not got a problem with whislte samba brums and deffinatly not hot latinas, but these horns are just a pain in the ass, can they just do them when someone scores or a bad decision is made
Ben (Arsenal) 5 months ago
Agreed, no need to blow their lungs out of air for 90min (plus extra time)
Agspiratos (Panathinaikos Athens) 5 months ago
Honestly its all about merchandise, and south africa is selling off these horns as souvenir's. Only one problem, there SO annoying! It drowns out all the cheers and cries from the fans with that swarming sounds. In all honesty it was just a mistake by the S. A. Board, and hopefully they catch onto it before the worldcup
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 5 months ago
Did anyone see argentina vs nigeria in the final of the olympics? Nigeria brought a band that had about a 4 measure song that they just repeated all game
Eric (Manchester United) 5 months ago
Yeah I remember. I watched Nigeria the whole olympics because they played good football.... But seriously that same damn song over and over for the entire game. Guy on the trumpet and everything.... Honestly, you'd think they would get sick of it before anyone else
Theduke (DC United) 5 months ago
Yea.... It is kind of annoying, but I guess when you go into different climates, you have to expect different things. Have to respect thier love of the game....

In an annoying way.... Maybe after a goal, but all 90 min is rediculous
