The Golden Boot Award
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
Well all the striker from the big club seems to be on point. Ronney is my favorite at the moment, Torres hasn't scored much but looks sharp (imo), Adebayor seem to be receiving good passes, bent proving his critics wrong, Drogba's looking sharp as well. But what in the world is going on with defoe? He Is on fire at the moment. But who you like. Who are you candidates to win the Golden Boot. Discuss

Can't decide between rooney, torres, and defoe. Adebayor and Drogba don't convince me much. I think the three I mentioned will make big strides to make goals because the world cup is coming and they want to be on form for their countries and also start as they all have competition to be on their national team
Ragarsha (Liverpool) 2 years ago
When there is pressure on scoring goals the form dips, among the three rooney and defoe will battle for place in squad, torres will be on less pressure among the lot and he will easily claim the golden boot(unless Anelka does not repeat his tappings)
Tom (Manchester United) 2 years ago
I don't see torres getting it because he'll be out with injuries to often. Rooney will most likely because I doubt Defoe can keep at it. Drogba will get some goals stolen from him from the thief Anelka(haha remember when he stole that 1 from Alex, it was going in and he quick ran up to it and got a touch). Adebayor will not because of all the strikers City have. Its between Defoe and Rooney, and Rooney is more consistent so i'll go with him
Darius (Aston Villa) 2 years ago
Yeah I think Defoe will be this season's "Anelka. " And lol I laughed so hard when I saw Anelka steal that goal from Alex!

I'm gonna' go for Defoe to give us a surprise package and maybe leading Spurs into a UCL spot!
1. Defoe - 27 goals
2. Torres - 24
3. Rooney&Drogba - 22
4. Arshavin&Gerrard - 18
5. Adebayor&Lampard - 16
6. Bent - 15
7. Keane&Crouch&Anelka - 12
Yamsy (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I really hope to see Defoe firing in those goals!
Rockerr (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I don't think so.... Defoe will never score thi much goal in a season
ManUK (Manchester United) 2 years ago
OK can't decide really but lets go with something

It's between Torres Defoe and Rooney and Ade for me, Drogba and Bent don't get my vote

Looking at it Ade has been doing well but is not very consistent plus looking at this season lots of randoms thing happen and can happen easily at city, so he's first eliminated.

If Torres stays fit he could easily get it but if he gets injured probably not just because of the? In a few of these things He's next to go not to mean I don't think he could get it just because slightly he has less of a chance.

Same thing, at the moment if he can keep it up Defoe has just as good a chance as Rooney but to me there is a slight doubt, He's ahead of Torres just Because I've always liked him and seen his Talent and I think he can Shine. Eliminated

So this is how it stands

1. Rooney 26
2. Defoe 25
3. Torres 23 (maybe)
4. Adebayor 20
5. Arshavin&Gerrard 18
6. Lampard&Drogba 17
7. Bent&Anelka&Keane 16

In my dreams Torres and Gerrard combine for over 50 goals, my dreams could come true though
Donnchadh (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I am going to go out on a big limb here and say Arshavin catches fire halfway through the season and takes the golden boot, just to mix it up.

P. S. I really think it will between Torres and Defoe, with Nando nudging him out in the end
Yombe10 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
I think Rooney will have a terrific season, forming a striking partnership with either Berbatov or Owen that will result in at least 50 goals between them
Yamsy (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Defoe gets his 4th in 3 games! Don't let me down!
Incuteration (Everton) 2 years ago
I'm going with less goals this season, but not as little as last season.

Torres - 23 goals
Rooney - 22 goals
Drogba - 19 goals
Adebayor - 17 goals
Defoe - 16 goals
D. Bent, Gerrard - 14 goals
Van Persie, Anelka, Berbatov - 13 goals
Lampard, [C.] Cole - 12 goals

Arshavin and Fabregas is more like an assister to me than a goal scorer
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I think adebayor or tevez will win it this year. Dunno I just have a huge hunch on the city players.

Defoe might just contend for it this year. You never know
ManUK (Manchester United) 2 years ago
You think Tevez will win? I doubt it
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Well maybe not. But I have a big hunch on city players for some reason
Gavrazor (Manchester City) 2 years ago
Everyone is forgetting that robinho scored as much as torres last season (14) which is the 4th from top goalscorer, and thi year he has a even better squad around him! I think maybe robinho or ade
Cyb0027 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
I think Rooney has a really good chance
He's been in hot form for england and now that he'll be playing the same position for united I'm betting he'll do well

And I have to say adebayor or robinho
Bhawk11 (Bayern München) 2 years ago
My choices would be andrei arshavin, drogba, or rooney
Elucari (Liverpool) 2 years ago
