Off Form:Klass Jan Huntelaar

Milan fans were really excited with the arrival of the 'hunter' and we were expecting a 'duck hunting season'.
But, Huntelaar is very dissappointing.... I really feel bad for that guy and I am praying for his goal drought to end.
And I know he is one of the greatest strikers in world and a penalty box genius, but what the heck is his problem? Does the milan style of play doesn't suit him? Or he just needs more time? Or.... Should he leave?
What is your opinion?
Yogan09 (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago
I think he suits his Ajax team. Holland are one of the best teams in the World but really, he isn't good enough. For Real and Milan, both times, he has messed up his performance, not got starts and just blown his chances of the trophies he could have won. Ajax was the best club for him, he knew his surroundings, it was in his home country. But in Milan and Madrid, the league is better than him. They don't play him because he isn't good enough. I think he should go back to the NL

Yogan09.... I don't agree with you. I think he is good enough for milan and was good enough for madrid. In madrid he wasn't given enough chance. He played only 20 matches and out of that he started in 13 matches. Remember he has scored 7 goals out that which is quite descent.
So I don't think that he is not good enough

I totally agree with Yogan.
He was given some chances, but he failed. He proved to be unable to gain spaces, he didn't help the team, always waiting for the ball in the area, always anticipated by the defenders. His failure has nothing to do with the fact he has not scored still. One may not score and play a decent football nevertheless. He doesn't know what to do on the pitch.
Of course warming the bench doesn't help him, but tell me what Leonardo has to do, as any time Huntelaar played we were de facto in 10 men.

He is good for Eredivisie

Yes,he looks very confused in the field...But I don't doubt his talent.Look at this video.

He has given a whole new defintion to bicycle kicks...His aerial ability is good, his finishing is good and he has everything a good striker needs!
And look at what Louis van gaal says about him:
"in the penalty area, he is the best player in the world, bar none."

But still what is his real problem?

He is talented as a finisher, but we have to say that in a top league this is not enough. You have to participate to the action, play dirty, take fouls far from the goal. So far he hasn't done it.

We must also say that his mates don't help him a lot: tons of ball possession and few crosses in the box. Maybe the guy just needs to adapt, I hope so. Leonardo is clever, he will give Hunty some other chances.

Btw this doesn't seem his year, he also crushed his car in the centre of Milan this week. Unlucky guy

Agreed mate. He is so timid and looks like he is afraid of the ball!Yes, he should play dirty and with energy. Hope leo has some solutions for that unlucky guy...

I think Italian style doesn't suit him. Also he may need some time to settle down, I don't think milan have given him enough chance. He needs to start often and play for full time so that he can adjust to this style. He just played 7 matches for milan but I think have played fulltime only once or twice.
I think if he is given some more chance he could prove his worth

He should come to Liverpool I have said that for a long time before he came to Madrid
Pragathish (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
Well, I have to agree.... He should have not joined madrid and should have opted for someother clubs, maybe liverpool. No offense to madrid fans, but I have to say that, top class strikers after joining madrid are losing their form. A very good example is Michael owen, who was a hot shot at LFC, joined madrid and now he isn't considered as a very big striker! And the same goes for the hunter too.... Maybe he should have stayed at ajax, or opted for someother clubs.... But its too late now...

Italian football didn't suit him.... I think he'll go back to ajax soon as a replacement for luis suarez, hope man utd really sign him in this coming january!
