OMG! It's gones nut's now that Tevez is gone, striker links every where.
Look how many have been linked: Benzema (before Madrid move) Aguero, Huntelaar, Van Nistelrooy, Micheal Owen (heavily now) Pato, Vucinic, Eto'o, Villa, but no it goes on, Luis Fabiano, G. Rossi, Nilmar, Andre-Pierre Gignac and there might be more!
Realistically I think that list can be shortened to....
Pato, Villa, Nilmar, Huntelaar and Aguero.
Maybe Fergie will just blow it on some upcoming Brazilian *cough*Douglas Costa*cough*, enacting a minimum release clause. We might have another Kleberson on our hands!
Out of your list, I would love to see both Nilmar and Rossi in the EPL next season in particular. Nilmar is long overdue a move to Europe and Rossi is one of the hottest prospects in Europe at the minute, as evidenced in his Confederations Cup displays.
Nah if I were to make a list it would consist of gignac, nilmar, huntelaar, aguero, and fabiano with owen already signed. With this list I would like fabiano most
If owen go to united I will feel sorry for united fans because owen is WAY past his best. Welbeck deserves the chance or mercheda to step up on to the bench. Not owen
Yamsy want do you mean Villa is yours? You can't afford Villa! He's going to cost like 30-40m!
I think the realistic striker would be Ibrahimovic, Costa, Villa, Huntelaar and Aguero.
Ibrahimovic only because over the last few weeks I'm sure youve all heard that him and maicon are causing a bit of a stir at Inter saying they think Inter should be aiming higher and buying more players or something along those lines and both Zlatan and Maicon have according to the media (which we know we can't trust) have said that they would like to move unless things improve. So united needing a striker atm whose better that Ibrahimovic if we could get him!?
Then there costa who we have been linked with and if fergie sticks to his usual young talent behaviour with tranfers then that deffinatly a possibility and from what i've seen I wouldnt be dissapointed he looks very talented and skillfull and is a player that united could craft into an awesome player like they did ronaldo.
Villa to me seems to be slipping away but then again i've been wrong about most of the transfers this season. Everybody knows he's awesome but I don't know how well he would fit in with united's style and not sure if he would want to play for us unless an exceptional contract was offered, which is unrealistic since rooney and berbatov are both on big enough contracts for strikers, we don't need 3 strikers on HUGE contracts.
Huntelaar and Aguero fit in the same category for me, both good players who can improve and are players who have the ability to become world class, to me its just a matter of if united want to go for them over some of the others (above) and how much the players clubs are going to want to sell them for, I don't think united will want to be pressured to pay more than needed for these two
Wow man! Your really good at these long essay answers! Your like doing this for every thread! Impressive, but I'm lazy, so I don't really feel like reading the whole thing.... But good job anyway
Lol Adamaus reading your posts are nice. Makes me think that thier are some people out thier that you just don't want to mess with lol. If you do.... You end up reading 2 pages of writing
I guess if real get alonso then sure, you could get him, but if you lost alonso wouldnt you want someone to replace him? I mean isn't your other CM lucas? And he has nto exactly been the best player for liverpool? I don't know liverpool squad that well but yea I thought you would prefer to replace alonso rather than get villa
Owen - not the best signing, but free and cheap so why the hell not? Fabiano - good in the air, quality finishes, relatively cheapish.... Fergie might pounce on him. Aguero - expensive, quality player. Direct replacement for Carlos and not just because he's a little Argentinian. Villa - not going to happen Costa - would be a good signing for an upcoming player, but still need to buy another striker to pair Wayne. Pato - I doubt United is really linked to him. Huntelaar - would be a good signing, might be able to strike a deal since we sold Ronaldo over there and are on decent terms with the club.
I could see it happening but it would depend on how they are set up in the field, they like to play in the same space really, that's the only problem, other than that, they have differing characteristics that could make them deadly options.... As long as they stay out of each others way (remember when they used to play Ronaldo and Adriano? Horrible outcome because they were comfortable in the same space)
