Liverpool Vs ManUtd ; Who Has The Better Squad?

In my Slightly Biased View I currentley think the liverpool squad is better.

Let Me Explain:

Our Midfield : Alonso, Mascherano, Lucas And Benyoun is Better than Carrick, Fletcher Anderson Etc. And Our Strike Force Of Gerrard and Torres easilly beats Rooney and Berba.

The depth of United's squad is where the quality comes in. Lucas is not better than those that you've listed either, I rate him very low personally. Mascherano and Xabi Alonso may very well be on their way out of Anfield as well.... So don't get too excited Liverpool fans

Over the entire season United conceded less goals. We just had a bad game that day, and you can't judge them on just one game. We went through like 11 games without letting one in, and yes Scholes really still

Over the season we scored more. And lol you can honestley say skyrtle, agger and carragher were as good as ferdiland. Vidic I can honestley say was as solid as cechs hat.

Seriousley.... I can think of a lot of players that can replace scholes right now...

Well if your honestly saying that then you should stop making posts that show your intelligence or should I say lack of.

I disagree with you when you compare Liverpool's defence to Manchester Uniteds. Like Red devil said you kind of left out our good midfielders and put the ones that make you look better, so really if you know they exist but don't put them up becus you know that your argurment would then collapse.

Honestly don't know what world your living on, I mean yes there better in the current formation, but easily? And imo Rooney is BETTER than Torres in that striker position, unfornatly fergie doesn't play him there. And yes I'm not stupid of corse gerrard is better tha Berbatov.

Like in all honsty how much of that comment is actually truth or you just trying to convince poeple that liverpool will win some silverware?

You guys should replace hargreaves is anderson his replacement? Idk but really! Hargreaves scholes giggs tevez need to be replace hopefully you guys get better signings I want a competitive premiership this season and not eagerly awiting to see barca and man utd

Hargreaves is GOOD! You probley just don't remember because he has been out for so long, better than carrick. No Anderson is scholes replacement, Nani for giggs, valencia for ronaldo and Owen for Tevez.

Wow looking at those replacemet! No where near as good as the people in which there replacing. But saying that they have a great amount of talent and are players that, if reech there full potential, will be awesome players, and will fit in well with united and their style of play.

I'm really keen for Nani and Anderson to take a step up and really play some good football. I havnt seen much of valencia but I'm sure he has what it takes if fergie spent so much on him, and I dno how Owen could be good could be bad

Nani really needs fergie to flourish him. His early worlk for manchester united was really good. How come it stopped? Amazing!

But yes he is young. If it works then yes a great star for the future

Yes, we need him to become Ronaldo! And Yes Sickhead don't know what you're thinking Hargreaves is most likely our best center mid!

I loved Hargo and everyone else did too. But also I think it's possible Sir Alex could get a center mid cause we are kinda week on the area. We might want someone safe but I'll trust the Boss on that one.

Maybe Cause Anderson hasn't done well, I mean without him we are kinda weak.

And Nani was so good in his first season, a young Ronaldo. But this season, he just disappeared into hibernation

So Yes, We have More depth, and in all we have the better squad

United have far more squad depth. A major injury crisis would hit Liverpool far harder than it would United imo....

Matching Liverpools defence up to Ferdinand and Vidic is pointless, the majority of the season they were outstanding. Liverpool ended the season on a high and so everyone is getting carried away with their chances for next season.

Have you not noticed that before every EPL season, "this is Liverpool's year? "

Man United has a better squad, but only slightly (especially since Ronaldo's departure, yes he IS that irreplacable). The fact that Tevez left leaves Rooney and Berba against Gerrard and Torres. Here, Liverpool wins because Gerrard and Torres form a better combined strike force than Rooney and Berba. However, United have far more cash this summer and are talking about Aguero, Ibrahimovic, etc.

For the midfield, now that Ronaldo has left, United relies on Park (3 lungs), anderson, carrick, scholes, and the reserves. Oh yeah, valencia also. In this case, united beats the liverpool midfield, but only slightly.

In the defence, the line-up of Evra, O'shea, vidic, and ferdinand easily beats Carragher and co. No contest.
And how many people can really argue that reina is better than van der sar? Very few.

Liverpool may have a better strike force, but united has a great midfield (with a Ronaldo-like Valencia aiding the strikers) ad a much greater defence.
The EPL contest is unpredictable so far becasue United have lost talent, but if Fergie buys himself a world-class striker to pair with Rooney and play in front of Valencia, United can win it once again

Carragher cannot even break into England 1st team, that is why he quit from the international stage, ferdinand is twice the player Carrgher is!

Nani, Scholes, Anderson, Hargreaves, Gary Neville, Berbatov, Welbeck, and their Reserve Goalkeeper are all rubbish!

However, nearly every player for Liverpool (except for Lucass) are absolutely brilliant.
Now that Ronnie left Man Utd, they have a poorer squad, and I don't think they can do much this season.

I agree with RedDevil7, you can't just twist the facts to make your side look stronger. Why are Nani, Anderson, Scholes, and Foster bad? They're actually some of the best reserves in the world. The fact that they have skill worthy of starters and that they're only reserves just gives an idea of how much depth the United squad has. That being said, Liverpool has a great squad as well

Not a Man UTD fan.... But considering most of the team had valuable playing time and experience last season, I don't see why they can't come back just as strong? CR will most likely be missed, but it won't affect them. Man UTD just signed Obertan, Valencia, Owen, and I'm sure someone else will be on their way. Ferguson will prevail again, Liverpool is lucky to get 3rd.... Arsenal and Chelsea WILL BE better than YOU!

I agree, Arsenal will be pushing for the top three spots this coming sesaon. Liverpool had a fantastic season last year, but it just wasn't good enough to beat the Red Devils. Ronnie's shoes will be filled and they'll be back
