Well, after 17 years with the Danish company.... It seems that Liverpool are now gonna' move on to another sponsor.... The current deal we have with Carlsberg is 7.2million per year, but we wanted to double that, to 14mill.... They failed to reach an agreement.... So our next sponsor might be Standard Chartered! They have agreed a 15million per year deal and will start at the beginning of the 2010/11 season! Here's what it might look like....
Top European Team’s Sponsorship Deals Manchester United: £20 million a year (£80 million over four years) with Aon Bayern Munich: £17 million (£68 million over four years) with T-Home Juventus: £15 million a year (£75 million over five years) with Tamoil Real Madrid: £12.7 million a year (£38 million over three years) with Bwin.Com Chelsea: £11 million+ a year (£55 million over five years) with Samsung Liverpool: £7.2 million: Liverpool’s annual fee from Carlsberg expires in 2010 Arsenal: £6.7 million per year (£100 million over 15 years) with Emirates
Tragic for sure, it's just a classic kit to have. New Belgium should be our next sponsors haha, we would only get about 2000 bucks a year from them but it would be the tits. New Belgium is a Fort Collins, Colorado based brewing company that emphasizes delicious beer and bicycles for those of you not from the southwest United States(just about everyone haha). They have a festival every year called the tour de fat were they bring out hundreds of kegs of amazing beer and everybody drinks it then rides their bikes around(sounds smart right haha) It use to come to Flagstaff, but it got banned from the city because everybody drank too much beer at 7000 feet haha. There were no more kegs by 6 o'clock at night after they had shipped in truck loads all day, they wouldn't ship anymore and the year after they weren't allowed to come back I don't if by ordinance of the city or New Belgium but it's hilarious and tragic at the same time.
Little Flagstaff Arizona drank way more beer than any other city, which on this tour which was in 07 I believe stopped in cities like San Francisco, St. Louis and even maybe Chicago. Now it's gone haha too many alcoholic old hippies I guess anyways back to my point they have the greatest logo ever it would look great on a liverpool kit.
Ahh that's lame, I loved the Carlsberg. It looks the part and its a respectable and appropriate sponsor. I mean what could be better than a beer company sponsor...
I am really sad to see carlsberg leave but having those extra 80 million will really help out. Anybody else think there logo is just too ugly and big to be on a jersey (of course it is not as bad as the burger king one )
It won't look so bad if they keep it a solid color instead of all the blues/greens they have, so keep it all white on our red kits will be ok.... I guess
