Carlos Tevez broke down in tears as he waved an apparent final farewell to Manchester United supporters, following the goalless draw with Arsenal that clinched their third successive Premier League title. He had earlier told Argentine TV: "I know that I am not going to continue at Manchester United. "

Transfer speculation
Liverpool are the front-runners to sign the Argentine, in a deal variously reported to be worth between £22m and £26m.
Berbatov's technical skill is almost unmatched by other players on United, some of the passes and dribbling techniques he has used this season are simply magnificent. He will adapt more and more and become a part of the team, but I will definitely be sad to see Tevez leave.... I hope by some miracle he stays
I'm just heartbroken we won't get to sing to him anymore after those spectacular goals he scores.
"Fergie, sign him up!" The mighty Carlos Tevez signed a contract for West Ham// But he left the hammers crying because it was a f***in sham// Then Fergie called him up and said, 'You wanna be a Red? ' And this is what he said...
Tevez - "I feel that they have lacked respect towards me. It's not about whether they pay £5million more or £5million less, but I feel I have been badly treated.
"There are ways in which the club is managed that I don't understand. When you don't agree with the manager in how the club is run.... I don't have faith in a lot of things that happen here.
"I've been here for two years and the directors have never come to speak to me. Not once have I had a meeting with them.
"Therefore, it's best that I leave the club so as not to clash with (manager) Alex Ferguson and the directors. Neither do I understand why I don't play in the team.
"I've asked (adviser) Kia (Joorabchian) not to speak to me about offers during the next 10 days. I want to concentrate only on the final matches that we have to play.
"Afterwards, I've got a month to take a decision and choose where to go."
Tevez was tearful as he waved to the fans after Saturday's 0-0 draw with Arsenal, which sealed United's third successive Premier League triumph.
"It's emotional," he said. "I like Manchester and I like the fans. But maybe it is goodbye. It is very difficult."
David Gill - "I haven't seen them, I haven't read them. I don't think it's right to do these negotiations through the press.
"If he's said that I think it's borne out of frustration but he's got to understand, and I'm sure his advisers understand, these are big decisions to be taken, large amounts of money, and I think the timeline isn't quite as quick as some people would want it to be.
"If I speak to him in the dressing room or at the training ground he's always very personable and friendly and I think that's what we have at the club."
Big, big shame if he leaves, English football needs players like Tevez, less motivated by greed and more by football.
Tevez - "In the two years I have been at Manchester United I have read that I have asked for '£6 million, £9 million, £12 million, £1 million, £2 million'. But I have never, ever asked David Gill or Alex Ferguson - nor have I had any meeting with anyone about my contract - for money. Therefore when I sign for another club if anyone says 'it was impossible for Carlos to sign for Man United because he was asking for too much money' then it is not true. I know that maybe after, when I leave, people will say 'he left for money' but listen, no. Be very clear that there has not been one single meeting about my personal contract"
Adebayor - "If it is not because of money I would not be playing for Arsenal Football Club. If it is not because of money I don't think I would go to Arsenal to play"
My point is the Premier League is sadly swamped by players who are driven hugely by money and they unashamedly admit it.... Tevez is a tad refreshing in the fact his passion for playing the game over-rides selfishness....
Or maybe you think Adebayor was misquoted and Tevez is lying?
I'm not sayin anythin is wrong. Wad I'm sayin is adebayor is a bad guy and tevez is a bad guy being good which is all the same thing. At the end of the day, it does come down to money and fame
I think we need to get a system going where were not recycling old threads. There are about three of these "Tevez leaving" threads. Not to mention a thread dedicated to ALL trade rumours
As a liverpool fan. Anfields door is always open for him. From a neatral supporting view it would be sad to see him leave United. But its His Descision to leave. You Have to Respect that
I wouldn't have thought liverpool fans would embrace him given the chants and quotes we hear from koppites.... I couldn't have sworn he was, "just an uglier kuyt? "
Hope tevez leaves. He shouldnt stay at a club that doesn't want him. He should go join Man City ! Robinho, tevez, and ireland up front would do real damage
