Sport stars get paid a lot of money to do their jobs and in Football, flak from the crowd is almost an accepted aspect of the sport.
Adebayor knew exactly what he was doing and his apologies were half-assed to say the least. I lost a great deal of respect for the man on Saturday but these egos are all too common in the game.
Yea It's awesome to do a cool celebration but there are two times I can think of not to do it. When you score but you did nothing but tap it in from two cm away after your teammate beat three guys and put in a great ball, and then you take off in celebration like you just scored the best goal of your life and pat yourself on the back.
Other time is Like Ade He way way WAY over did it you might of looked at him and thought he was mentally retarded
I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that what Adebayor did was stupid. But it was also dangerous. A steward was knocked unconscious in the melee. This is a man that is at the ground doing his job. And because of the pathetic grudge that Adebayor holds over his time at Arsenal the bloke was knocked out! Scandalous. Sure, Adebayor didn't deliver the blow himself but had he shown a bit of restraint and maybe even a little respect(I would have preferred it if he had joined the City fans, seeing as he sprinted straight past a stand a half filled with them!) then the chap probably would have finished his shift safely.
You can also bet your bottom dollar that had Adebayor been struck with even one of the dozens of items thrown at him form the Arsenal supporters he'd have had something to say about it. I do not condone any fan ever throwing anything at a player but I can understand why they would in that instance
