If You Were Milan's Manager....
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
What would you do right now! Anchellotti left leonardo in a mess. The squad is terrible. They need at lest 2 of every position. Imo I would just start a fresh and sell all the star players I had(excluding pato) and try to get prospects to work with. But what do you think? Discuss

I would quit and let the whole team retire except for pato
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
Ouch! But anything realistic?
Santillanavila 2 years ago
I would do what kimaway17 said. Buy players using what they got from kaka

Brilliant idea santillanavila

I think Milan are in major financial trouble and heard that Berlusconi is pressured not to spend because he doesn't want to anger the Italian citizens (he is PM of Italy) during these troubled economic times
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I would buy a few mid age plays from other italian teams and a few rising stars like ozil etc
EmYouEffSee (Manchester United) 2 years ago
Yea I think they need a lot more younger players. They used to be good a few years ago but now their players are too old
Kimaway17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Well their team is ok. GK:Abbaiti Dida Kalac. DF:Zambrotta Nesta Onyewu Kaladze Jankouluski Favalili Oddo. MF:Seddorf Pirlo Gattoso Ambrosini Flamini AF:Izgahi Ronaldinho Pato. That team isn't to bad. But looking at their loss to Bayern I think they need to strength in all department. Use the money they got from Kaka. Get decent players. Like Go to Manchester City get Elano go to Real get VDV and Huuntelaar. So they can get some decent players

That's what I was thinking but it seems they have no money so sell any body worht the moneyand try to get young prospect to work one they gave gourcuff away wow that was shocking but I guess they know what there doing I just feel really bad for leo. He's one of my favorite players the super sub

If I were Leonardo I would quit managing and try helping the team by playing again like in the old days. They obviously love old players, not even just in football standards, Earth standards as well, and have you seen him? He is in better shape than a lot of his own players (*cough* Ronaldinho *cough*). I'm not sure he is the right man for the job simply because he hasn't been in that type of pressure before, Milan's squad has some major deficits and he is not bumping heads with the big boys to bring in some names (I mean, where did all the Kaka' money go? They weren't that deep in debt were they?). It's getting late and Milan's biggest transfer might be a new coach if they don't step up. He needs to be more aggressive like I know he can be:

I'd resign before ac milan turns into leeds utd
Elucari (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Go after cheap young rising stars, dump all the aging past their prime stars, hope for the best
Yamsy (Liverpool) 2 years ago
The squad is way too old, they have to start recruiting young prospects for the future.... They have enough money to do that as well...
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
Idk what leonardo is doing but do it fast! You can get good money for those aging players they have now
Yamsy (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I wouldn't recommend selling Pirlo or Gattuso, as they have lots of useful experience in the club, but go ahead and sell Inzaghi or the other old folk, cause they're of not much use and can be sold for decent prices...
Kingsickhead (Chelsea) 2 years ago
Inzaghi is priceless just as maldini was! But they need help its so sad see 1 transfer affect a team so much

Milan do have some great guys coming up from their own youth system. For example, Abate has been a regular fixture of Milan's preseason squad and has looked quite promising. Strasser, Di Gennaro, Albertazzi, Zigoni and others are looking pretty good for the future as well. It's this older Milan generation (including the management and owner) were waay too comfortable after building that amazing squad of the early '00s. They just got too comfortable. It's just a cycle that every team goes through (for example look at the Invincibles of Arsenal. They're gone, but look at Arsenal, they still haven't been able to cope). As a fan, I'm really hoping that they sort this situation out fast before the golden days are forever past us
