Not many takers on this one.... Going historical with this one.... Correct answer- Ferenc Puskás (if you don't know who he is/was, read up on him- one of the greatest players of all time!)
Donnchadh (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Aha nice one Sam, and Jesuriya on the money guessing one of those two haha. Puskas is the man, just pure class
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago

Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
Correct answers are Juventus and AC Milan, with 6 each
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Surprised about Juventus to be honest.

I looked it up just now and Barcelona also have 6 players winning it 7 times between them.

8 if you include the FIFA Ballon D'or because of Messi
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
There are 6 teams in Europe to have completed the treble. That is they have won the Champions League (or a previous version of it), a domestic league title and a league cup. A treble like the one won by Porto last season does not count
Somere (Portmore Utd) 2 years ago
Manchester united, barcelona and inter are the one I know
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
You got the 3 most recent ones, those are the only ones I could name without the use of the internet. 2 of the last 3 I think most people could take a good guess and get it right
Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
I think Ajax has completeted a treble, also guessing Benfica.... And maybe Real Madrid back in the day?
Jesuriya (AS Roma) 2 years ago
Manchester united, inter milan, bayren munich, real madrid, milan, juventus

Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
I turned professional when I turned 17.
I played over 400 games for 2 separate London teams.
I reached 3 straight FA Cup finals, although my team only won one (the middle) of those three finals, against Man United.
I was also able to win 2 Serie A titles playing in Italy for 5+ seasons.
I was nicknamed "Chippy" at one of my London teams, not for my ability to chip the ball but for my fondness for fish and chips.
Who am I?

What was the significance of the 1985 fa cup final between everton and man utd?

The last cup won by a United manager that was not SAF?
Tony (footytube staff) 2 years ago

Donnchadh (Liverpool) 2 years ago
It was played in a different stadium than wembley? Just a shot in the dark, which I think is wrong because West Ham and Liverpool in 06 was the first one played outside of wembley haha still I will go with it
Tony (footytube staff) 2 years ago
Not even close, it was at wembley, and utd won 1-0 in extra time.... But what was significant about the game?
Somere (Portmore Utd) 2 years ago
That was the first time a red card was shown in a FA cup final
Tony (footytube staff) 2 years ago
Ha, I'm actually wearing the 1985 fa cup shirt at the minute, the kids bought me a retro one for xmas, nice shirt with the "sharp" sponsorship

Well worth a watch, winning with 10 ten after moran was sent off very early on
Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
I played over 450 games for the league in my country and was capped over 100 times.
I was twice selected European Footballer of the Year.
I won the World Cup both as captain and later on as manager of the national team.
I am the only player to captain three consecutive European Cup winning sides.

We were born in poland.
But we are not playing for the country in which we were born.
We played together in 2 world cups.
We both won two separate individual awards in the first world cup which we played together.
We both played for the same club for two seasons.
We both have scored a total of 100 goals for the country we are playing.
WHO WE ARE?
Juvewba (Juventus) 2 years ago
I can only think of two of the best polish born players playing for Germany.    Klose and Podolski
Kimaway17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I agree. Klose and Podolski
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
After the first clue Klose and Podolski jumped into my head.    Did they really only spend 2 years together at Bayern?
Jesuriya (AS Roma) 2 years ago
Yes they are podolski and klose
Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
I scored over 100 goals in top flight football in England.
I was the first player to win the PFA Young Player of the Year and PFA Players' Player of the Year award in the same season.
I scored the winning goal in a League Cup final in the same season that my team was relegated from the top division.
In spite of all my accolades, I was never selected by my national team to play at the World Cup.
Who am I?

I won the PFA Players' Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year and European Golden Boot all in the same season.
I was the first player to pick up 5 League Cup (Carling Cup) winners medals.
I also hold the record for most goals in League Cup history.
Who am I?
Somere (Portmore Utd) 2 years ago
Ian rush
Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
Too easy maybe? Surprised no Liverpool fans were jumping at this one! Ian Rush is right
Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
I hold the record for scoring the most goals in the League Cup over a season.
I also hold the record for playing for more London based football clubs than any other footballer in history.
I scored over 200 career goals but was never able to score for my country (although I was only capped 5 times).
Who am I?
Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago

Donnchadh (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Here's a little bit of world cup trivia

Name five of the golden ball winners down the years

Name the three players in the ten goal club in a single tournament

Who is the only player to score at least two goals in four world cup tournaments?

Name the only goalkeeper to win two world cups at the starting position

How many goals did sir bobby charlton score in the 1966 WC? (it was his full head of flowing hair that gave him such skill)

Who was the player who rainbowed the ball over Roberto Carlos in the 2002 tourny and what country did he play for?

And this final one is tough, I couldn't find the answer on the net(didn't look too hard) but I thought the footytube community could collaborate and see if we can get an answer or idea. Who has the most assists in a single tournament?
Kimaway17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
1. 2010:Mueller 2006:Klose 2002:Ronaldo 1998:Ronaldo 1994:Baggio  2. Fortane Pele? Maradona?  3.  4.  5. Erm 8?  6?
Sam (Juventus) 2 years ago
#2 Kocsis (1954), Fontaine ('58) and Gerd Muller ('70)  #4- Gilmar, Brazil (1958, 1962)
TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Kimaway.... Golden Ball is for best player which was Forlan. Golden boot is highest goalscorer
Kimaway17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Opps. Thanks man. Then. 1. 2010:Forlan 2006:Zidane 2002:Kahn 1998:Ronaldo 1994:Romario
Donnchadh (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Uwe Seeler is the only player to score at least 2 goals in 4 tournies. More golden ball winners, Cruijff in 74, Beckenbauer in 70, Maradona I am pretty sure in 86 he had to win it, Pele in 58, Garrincha in 62, Eusebio in 66. Sansiz was the player who rainbowed Roberto Carlos he is Turkish. Charlton scored three goals in the 66 tournament if I remember correctly
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
This might be a bit tricky for some of you but here we go....

Who are the only players from the following countries to have scored an SPL hat-trick: Argentina, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany?

Good Luck
Tony (footytube staff) 2 years ago
All guesses.... Caniga, argentina
Petrov bulgaria
Patelinan }spelt wrong} finland
Can't think of the french one?
Guessing albertz for germany

Come on john, how many out of 5 did I get?
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
You got 4 right I think, there is actually 2 more you could have had for Argentina and France, they are Juan Sara (Dundee+Argentina) and J. Johansson (Rangers+Finland) and the French one is a one game wonder that used to play for Motherwell called David Ferrere, played 10 games for Motherwell and scored his only 3 goals in 1 game!
Tony (footytube staff) 2 years ago
I surprised myself there.... Lol
Tony (footytube staff) 2 years ago
I would never have got the french one, the others were educated guesses around players I knew from those countries who played spl
Tony (footytube staff) 2 years ago
Did michael mols never get a hat trick? .... Surprised if no
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
