Great to see the quiz section's revival.

Highlighting a region that never gets mentioned- who won the African cup of Nation's in 1994? Who scored the winning side's goals in that game? Don't cheat
Teja7 (Liverpool) 1 year ago

Sam (Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
It was Emmanuel Amunike. That team had some legendary players- Yekini, Amokachi, Oliseh, Okocha, Siasia, George- a team that was ranked as high as #5 in the world and went on to beat Bulgaria 3-0 in the WC that same year

What was the youngest starting 11 in Premier League history?
Lolzkibeat (Chelsea) 1 year ago
Arsenal last year when playing against Manchester United. No idea what the average age was, just having a wild guess

Edit: The match where Rambo scored the winner (if I'm not mistaken).
Edit Edit: Rambo as in Ramsey not our beloved Ramires!
Teja7 (Liverpool) 1 year ago

Teja7 (Liverpool) 1 year ago
Which UEFA Cup final ended in a dramatic 4-4 scoreline. With an own goal settling the game due to the then still accepted Golden Goal rule?
Making it 5-4 for the winners
[account-removed] 1 year ago
I'm guessing one of the clubs in question is Liverpool
Teja7 (Liverpool) 1 year ago
The "Golden Goal" rule was still in play. Think baackk, My Andra Pradesh friend!
Lolzkibeat (Chelsea) 1 year ago

LumpOfCelery (Chelsea) 1 year ago
An easy question      Q: How many different nationalities have managed Chelsea FC during the Premier League Era?
Avoee (Barcelona) 1 year ago
Better to ask how many different nationalities play for Chelsea, would be easer
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Brazil, Italy, Israel, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, England  7?
Liquidator (Chelsea) 1 year ago
English, Dutch, Portuguese, Israeli, Spanish, Scottish, Italian
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
You forgot Scolari, I forgot.... The scottish one. Who is it?
[account-removed] 1 year ago
I got it   Scotland, Brazil, Italy, Israel, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, England
[account-removed] 1 year ago
Few one of them is Ian Porterfield
Liquidator (Chelsea) 1 year ago
Ian Porterfield is right. So that's 8 nationalities
LumpOfCelery (Chelsea) 1 year ago
Yup, damn thought Porterfield would stuff you up. Bonus Question! how many different nationalities had managed chelsea throughout their history?
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Who scored for Italy in their 2006 World Cup semi-final victory over Germany?
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
Totti?
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Nope
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
Hmmm I can't really think, Gattuso, Pirlo, Inzaghi, Cannavaro.... To name a few lol

Just trying to rule some names out in the process
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
None of those, either.
Hints: It was a 2-0 victory in extra time. A defender scored in the 119th minute, then a substitute striker sealed it in the 120th
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
Nocerino? I'm thinking his name and I can't remember if that was too early for him or not?
[account-removed] 1 year ago
I vaguely remember Del Piero scoring in that game. I think their wing back scored as well. Can't remember that exactly. Was one of the first tournaments I watched with true interest in football! Loved Italy back then
Lolzkibeat (Chelsea) 1 year ago
I was thinking Inzaghi also.... Maybe Luca Toni? Not even sure if he has feautered for the national team
LumpOfCelery (Chelsea) 1 year ago
Del Piero scored and a wingback (like Mag said) so I'm guessing Grosso or Zambrotta?
Avoee (Barcelona) 1 year ago
He was #3 can't remember the name
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Grosso and then Del Piero
LumpOfCelery (Chelsea) 1 year ago
So a more definitive answer Del Piero and Zambrotta?    Edit: didn't see green gorilla's post
Avoee (Barcelona) 1 year ago
Grosso he was #3
[account-removed] 1 year ago
If you bring up the questions please don't answer let other do some work
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
I thought Ayyam had gotten it right already before that, I was just confirming
[account-removed] 1 year ago
Hey, I got it before Ayyam
Sam (Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
Haha Magneto- "vaguely remember"? It was the second best game of the tournament and one of the best games ever! We won the final on penalties, but this game was much more satisfying! Beating the Germans in their own backyard? And then we owned them again this year!

Wir sind Deutschlands Kryptonit!
Noir853 (Juventus) 1 year ago
Ah I'm late.... I would've answered it with no effort

But still, Grosso curling effort silenced the strong Dortmund crowd of 80k german supporter.... And Dortmund is where Germany never lose for 80years.... Until Italy came in 2006.

And then here comes Del Piero. His placing shot went into Lehmann top corner and its kills german hope once and for all and brought tears out to some portion of their fans
[account-removed] 1 year ago
How can I forget that semi final match. I still remember watching with my daddy who was supporting germany and I have always been an italian fan.

It was scored by del piaro and was built up on counter attack!

Ohh pirlo I love you! I can't put that performance by him in words. No praise can be too high for player of such a quality!

Here is the video of that epic match! -
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Which teams haven't recorded a clean sheet in the current Champions League?
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
Eh how many teams are we to guess here....

Manchester United, Manchester City, Braga, Shakhtar, Nordjellands?

I am just trying to think through the games in my head lol
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Oh crap sorry, there are 9 of them.

City and Nordsjaelland are correct.
United got a clean sheet in our 1-0 win over Galatasaray in the first gameweek, and Braga did the same in their 2-0 win over Galatasaray the next week
ManOnDMoon (Manchester City) 1 year ago
Real Madrid, Ajax.... City sigh
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
City, Nordsjaelland, Madrid, Ajax. 5 more
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
AC Milan, Spartak Moscow, Bayern Munich, Dynamo Zagreb and Lille (although I think Lille might have won their last match 2-0, not really sure just a stab in the dark really! Lol)
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Almost! Spartak and Dinamo were correct. The other three are BATE Borisov, Olympiakos, and Montpellier
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
Montpellier, that's the other French team I was thinking of! Lol

I didn't want to look at groups, don't think I would have got the other 2 though!
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Yeah, I would've guessed Lille over Olympiakos for some reason
[account-removed] 1 year ago
I doubt I'd have ever guessed Lille after remembering the scoreline of their game against Bayern!
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Definitely wasn't a clean sheet!
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
When Real Madrid came back to win against Mallorca on the final day of the 2006/07 season, who scored the winning goal to make it 2-1, and then who scored to make it 3-1
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
I vaguely remember that being Beckham, for one of the goals at least. Maybe that's selective memory
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
Try again. Beck's got injured early on in the first half. Hammy, I think?  Another hint. This was the game that won us La Liga
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Yeah I know it's the one that won the league, that was right before he came to LA (all the teams I support have had Beckham play for them at some point, and I kinda lost interest in Madrid when he left, oh well [/rant much? ])

Raúl?
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
No lol nice try. Thanks for not looking it up
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
No problemo that bugs me too
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
So who was it?
Kain (Liverpool) 1 year ago
Van Nisterooy?
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Was it Guti?
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
Good guesses. Ruud pulled a hammy as well in the first half, and I don't believe Guti was playing. Though it wouldve been a lot easier if he was haha
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Sergio Ramos? Roberto Carlos? Cannavaro?
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
No lol
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
f**k it I looked it up Never would've guessed that
GreatScot (Rangers)(Footytube Staff) 1 year ago
I looked up the squad because I was struggling for names after reading these and scanning through, Robinho and Ronaldo stood out...
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
Ronaldo(9) was injured, and Robinho didn't score
[account-removed] 1 year ago
Was there an own goal?
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
No lol come on guys!
ILuvEPL (Liverpool) 1 year ago

Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago

Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
2 correct, 2 more
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Paul Robinson
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Peter Enckelman if you count own goals
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
No, then Ali Al-Habsi would be on there too now!
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Robinson is correct, there's one more!  Hint: scored in 2004
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Is the last guy a penalty? Is it matt murray or something like that from wolves?
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Not a penalty, it was an equalizer in a match that ended 3-2
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
David James?
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Not David James
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Ian Walker? .... This is getting a little sad now haha, just guessing keepers I remember from the era
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
It was Brad Friedel, he made it 2-2 between Blackburn and Charlton, and then almost immediately conceded the winner...
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Ah man, Friedel was on my mind but I just couldn't ever remember him scoring. V. Good question!
StageFright1203 (Arsenal) 1 year ago
This would be cooler if people pretended to not go to Wikipedia to look up the answers.

Anyways, at what day of the season does the PL change the ball from the normal white colour to the Hi-Vis yellow?
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Winter solstice?
Madridista174 (Real Madrid) 1 year ago
Lol so true. I love how so many people are like, "Bla bla bla? .... But I'm not sure.... "  You're not fooling anyone
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Maybe they just keep track of those things! haha
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
What do the Olympiastadion and the Estadio Azteca have in common?
StageFright1203 (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Oh f**k, never mind
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
No guesses?
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Umm both have top capacity over 100, 000?
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
Not the answer I'm looking for, also I'm pretty sure the Olympiastadion is somewhere around 75, 000
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
No other guesses?
Kapone (Arsenal) 1 year ago
Both held an Olympics and World Cup Final?
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago
That too, but it was that they've both hosted 2 World Cup Finals
Greengorilla1 (Manchester United) 1 year ago

TheBarcaShow (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
Not sure.... Barca, 30 games in 2010/11 seasons but I know that isn't it because they were talking about beating another record when it ended.... Someone forgot to knock on wood
Sam (Footytube Staff) 2 years ago
No sir, you are wrong- it is not Barca, and it is not Real Madrid either
Borg (Manchester United) 2 years ago
