Best PK Takers
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 3 years ago
The best, who's your favorite and what would be your five takers?
1. Henry
2. Ballack
3. Del Piero
4. Grosso
5. Murphy

My favorite is Danny Murphy (Fulham)

Gavrazor (Manchester City) 2 years ago
You would have henry as your no.1 PK taker?......Are you sure?!

Eric (Manchester United) 2 years ago
Well that's pretty much all Pires screwing it up
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Completely pires, no one makes all there penalties anyway, you could say anyone and I could drag up a video of them missing, even if it was the only time they did and say they stunk. It's no about how they screw up it's about the ratio of screwing up
VanPersie (Arsenal) 3 years ago
Hard to say really because it is so easy to score and most people do score them
Samdagooner (Arsenal) 3 years ago
The German National Team. Ballack, Del Piero, van Nistelrooy, Pirlo, van Persie
VanPersie (Arsenal) 3 years ago
Van persie!
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
The germans own, remember when they knocked argentina out of the WC 2006
Samdagooner (Arsenal) 2 years ago
I heard they haven't missed a single penalty in a penalty shootout in FIFA competition since the 1970's ish could be before. Heard it on ESPN when they were covering EURO 2008
Matt (Southampton) 3 years ago
Anyone that wasn't born in England
Nitro (Barcelona) 3 years ago
Lol is that why england always lose on penalties
Neonseong (Liverpool) 3 years ago
Because Beckham has missed about 50 of those penalties that England has taken
ManUK (Manchester United) 3 years ago
LoL hey!
Neonseong (Liverpool) 3 years ago
I'm just kidding.... Kinda but I mean Beckham does miss them, but hey you don't see Gerrard or Lampard missing them. Don't let Terry take one when the pitch is still slippery though
Abepaih (Arsenal) 3 years ago
Well during the world cup 06, they both miss the penalty against the portugal. Most people think england would win with those lineup
ManUK (Manchester United) 3 years ago
Alright Yea Becks has missed a lot but Stevie and Lamps are immense. Yea I think JT already knows that
Neonseong (Liverpool) 3 years ago
Don't worry I'm sure if England isn't faced with PK situation in 2010 they'll have a good chance winning the world cup
ManUK (Manchester United) 3 years ago
Lol thanks
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Danny murphy is beast for fulham
Gerrard17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Gerrard class though
Criminal (Chelsea) 3 years ago
Lol aek athens and olimpiacos squad. Anyone see the epic greek gup final? Went penalty and ended up, I think from memory 15-14.

Van persie does have a great penalty take. Good power and aim

Abepaih (Arsenal) 3 years ago
He scored lots of penalties this season. Damn
StrikersMT28 (Seattle Sounders) 3 years ago
No, he does all the stutter crap. How hard is it to pass it into a corner?
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 3 years ago
If its so easy why did terry miss? Its Pressurirising(did I spell that right)
Abepaih (Arsenal) 3 years ago
Yes. The ball will rise more if you pressure more
StrikersMT28 (Seattle Sounders) 3 years ago
Um.... Terry slipped at 12:30 when it had been raining since regulation on a football pitch...
Eric (Manchester United) 2 years ago
It was mostly the pitch, but he should have made sure of his striking area as he was placing the ball
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 3 years ago
Oops I forgot all about RVP
Syraph (Real Madrid) 3 years ago
I think del peiro is phenomenal at penalties and so is critiano ronaldo
Agspiratos (Panathinaikos Athens) 3 years ago
Elano never misses
StrikersMT28 (Seattle Sounders) 3 years ago
Never seen Elano play, 'cause Man City puts out a totally different set of 100 pound strikers each game
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 3 years ago
LOL
Eric (Manchester United) 2 years ago
He's never missed a PK for City
Ragarsha (Liverpool) 2 years ago
I was thinking any one could point out the game in which Elano scored on penalty
Incuteration (Everton) 2 years ago
I can tell you the worst penalty takers are Beckham and Terry
ZidaneTheLagend (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Befor Zidane These Day's Gerrard For Me
Gerrard17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
Zidane has got to be don't he? Remeber that penalty in the final of the world cup
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Current PK takers
Barca4life09 (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Ya zidane and ronaldinho
Kimaway17 (Liverpool) 2 years ago
For me its Zidane Gerrard Lampard Ronaldo Vannisterlooy
Darius (Aston Villa) 2 years ago
With no bias intended, Landon Donovan makes some pretty amazing PK's. But the top one for me is Del Piero. I've watched him make so many PK's over the years. However, I would also bet my money on Graham Alexander of Burnley
StrikersMT28 (Seattle Sounders) 2 years ago
Yeah, Donovan is a stud. You see the one against Honduras?
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
He's a not head.
Darius (Aston Villa) 2 years ago
What?
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
A nothead
Darius (Aston Villa) 2 years ago
Oh ok. But you know he's still amazing lol
Barca4life09 (Barcelona) 2 years ago
Ya in the mls overated american for me well thank god for his penalty or italy wouldv blownthe us out
Darius (Aston Villa) 2 years ago
Landon Donovan is not overrated. He could have gotten a starting position at Bayern Munich if he wanted to but he decided to stay with the Galaxy. And the only reason we lost so badly is because Ricardo Clark got sent off. If he didn't get that preposterous red card, the game would have been much closer
Pocketg99 (Arsenal) 2 years ago
Yeah the clark decision was terrible and a man down we couldn't pressure the midfield
