Best Attcking Defender
Ciankc (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Who is the best attacking defender?
I would have to say maicon. He can get up there and score goals but is still a solid defensive player. He plays for brazil and has scored and set up many goals for them, as well as getting back and playing defence. Vermaelen is also a very good attacking defender with a great scoring record. Glen johnson should probably be playing midfield though. He is a pretty bad defender but a great scorer/assister
Keong (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
How about chelsea duo cole and bosingwa?
Monrovia (Manchester United) 1 week ago
DANI ALVES
MyRaJ (Real Madrid) 6 days ago
Yes Alves is very good, help a lot in attack has many qualities, execute well and free kicks...
Ciankc (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Sorry, attcking is supposed to be attacking. Stupid typos
Acmilano (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
I have to agree. Even as a AC Milan fan, Maicon is a star. Great speed, strength, can defend and has a good goal return too. He is the complete package.

Its just a shame he plays for inter

I also rate Evra very highly
Andydelz (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
Right. Right now any fullbacks that attacks are better than the bunch of old legs Milan have atthe moment
Ciankc (Manchester United) 1 week ago
Evra is pretty old right now, as well as rio ferdinand
Johnbull (Millwall) 5 days ago
I agree, I love to see Evra flying down the wing, he needs to get on the scoresheet a bit more though
Franboy (PSG) 2 weeks ago
Alves, Maicon and Evra are the three defenders who are the best attacking wingers.
These 3 defenders play all three as a midfielder. Very often they help their team in offensive phases. And they defend very well too.
3 defenders that all coaches would have.
Harsham (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
I would also agree with maicon. He's a good guy out there
Lukas (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago
Ashley cole has to be up there
Franboy (PSG) 2 weeks ago
Yes I had completely forgotten cole in my list
Zishan07 (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
Lucio
Realmcoy (Arsenal) 2 weeks ago
Yeah, I like Lucio's attacking game. He and Gallas are real aggressive when they're in attack mode
Skynz (Panathinaikos Athens) 1 week ago
Lucio was also my pick. He is a defensive leader and and also in consistent enough to play up in situations where he is needed, and sometimes scores! Great choice for any team
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 weeks ago
Forget wing backs for a second. I like vermaleans shots. They always seem to go in. And terry and ferdialands headers are always important.

And oh I like how pique likes to start a break in counter attack
ManUK (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
It is true but they seem to come up less through the middle because they have two lines of teammates in front of them
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 weeks ago
Haha yeah but it is awesome when they do
ManUK (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Hehe Those sneaky little rats
Yombe10 (Arsenal) 2 weeks ago
Ahaha somewhat off topic from the original subject; but did you see Pique break into a counter attack during the UEFA Champions League final last year? It was just the funniest thing I've seen, he looked so confused about what to do. I mean he was practically on the other team's eighteen and just looking around and thinking"Who should I pass this to? Should I shoot? Uhhhh"
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 weeks ago
It looked impressive
ManUK (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Pep must have been impressed
Senthil (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago
I should say terry ! He will be best attacking defenders in world, he was very serious while playing a game! You can undestand by seeing last world cup fantastic saving in grouop match
SergioRamos (Liverpool) 2 weeks ago
If only he wore steadier studs while doing penaltys
Tony (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
For me its patrice evra, and in the past roberto carlos
Ciankc (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Yah roberto carlos was awesome!
Charliehenry (Arsenal) 1 week ago
4sure reberto carlos and a frekick specialist he ws in a different league
Bloodbrothers (Barcelona) 2 weeks ago
Dani Alves
Ciankc (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Did you see dani alves' free kick in the confedorations cup in south africa? He scored, but the keeper totally should have saved it
Bloodbrothers (Barcelona) 2 weeks ago
Yes but alves is a great FK taker anyways
Ciankc (Manchester United) 1 week ago
I'm surprised brazil don't play him more, he is often a sub
Bloodbrothers (Barcelona) 1 week ago
Dunga preffers Maicon over him but he usually plays in the midfield with Brazil
Yogan09 (Chelsea) 2 weeks ago
Dani Alves, Ashley Cole, Maicon, Patrice Evra, Glen Johnson, Carlos, Terry (on corners), Vermaelen, Carlos lol, there is lots and lots, I think most defenders have scored from headers, that is where they are mainly a goal threat!
Andydelz (AC Milan) 2 weeks ago
Oh ya, Vermaelen!    This guy surely can strike a shot as though he's a striker!
Keong (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
For me, roberto carlos the best!
Mauijim (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
I gotta' agree. RC set the bar.  Anybody for the Paulo Maldini?
Keong (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Maldini is da best left defender.... He can attack as well but maybe not as great as carlos but his defending skill far better then the Brasilia of cos! Lol oh I forget to mentioned another Brasilia great right back, cafu!
Realmcoy (Arsenal) 2 weeks ago
Cafu, Roberto Carlos and Maldini were definately THE best attacking defenders of their time
Keong (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Yes.... You are right buddy! But if good in defence, i'll go for france back four in year 98! With the likes of lizarazu, thuram, blanc and desailly...
Adamaus (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Roberto carlos was good, I think vidic does well though, he scores a few every season. Wouldnt say he is the best
Ciankc (Manchester United) 2 weeks ago
Nice picture  Go homer!
Devang (Liverpool) 2 weeks ago
John Terry scores a lots of goals and has a sweet shot
Eboue gets down threw wings well as well....

Other than them, Ashly cole, Huth, Parnaby, Bramble, Risse, Carlos, M Richards are pretty good.
Dani Alves in top form lately.
