I think they need some hefty center backs to man their defence. Johnson would be a good signing for them, but I think they should make an effort to go after someone like Micah Richards as well

Johnson will go to chelsea or liverpool. Arsenal just signed Thomas Vermaelen from Ajax for undisclosed fee. He is a left footed centreback that could also be used as a leftback

Defensemen? What the hell is defensemen? What is wrong with calling them defenders?

Perhaps Oguchi Oneywu (sp?). If he plays for Arsenal like he did USA, I would have no problems about signing him. Plus, he would be the first American on this squad to play for a top flight, top international club!

We really do need a strong defender. Our biggest weakness is a lack of a physical presence. We need someone step up, and be a banger for us. Oneywu could, and most likely would, \ provide that
