Poor Cisse, how is he still playing in top league football? You guys have any others to share? I know there are lots so post pictures or videos if you can find them.
Also saw this one on the Off Topic Banter Forum from VanPersie:
@Pragathish: The guy in the second video is Edgar Andrade of Cruz Azul. He's recovered (since 2007) and is still with Cruz Azul in Mexico, but now wears the number 8.
And didn't Cisse break his legs twice? Yikes poor man. The worst I can think of that's pretty recent is Eduardo's leg? Or was it ankle, but god that was disgusting
All made me sick.... Cisse broke his leg twice! How can someone go through such pain twice! I didn't know Totti and Eduardo both were the victims of such leg breaks to!
Yeah I was sad for him because he was the new player to our team and starting to get a good form going and then that happens. It was a time when there were bad takles all over the league matches and eduardo was unlucky to be on the end of one
Treated for 8 mins on pitch and is yet to make a return to first team football although played a reserve team fixture last night
Wilfred Bouma, Aston Villa
A mere dislocated ankle apparently, don’t know what all the fuss is about….
Jacob Olesen - Now plays for Viborg FF
Anyone would think he had swallowed a wasp
Ewald Lienen - Against Werder Bremen
One of the many dangers of using nylon studs…. And exceptionally bad tackles. If you look really closely you will notice that the ball boy is sitting on something white with a red stripe.
Lienen
David Busst, Coventry v Manchester United
Ended his career
Alf-Inge Haland, Man City v Roy Keane
Roy Keane admitted to doing this deliberately. Yet he was still allowed to manage a football club. Riddle me that
Don’t know who, but it looks like it hurts. A lot
Djibril Cisse - Whilst playing for France
This one alway disturbs me.
Don’t know the facts…
But probably one of the reasons a two footed tackle was banned:
Ok, so this isn’t a football one. But it is kind of. Just look at the state of it!
That was his ACL wasn't it? I had the exact same thing happen to me just days before seeing this. THe recovery time is a killer after the reconstructive surgery. But the scar looks awesome!
This may sound weird but, once you think about it, this is apart of what makes football so great. Not the injury, but the gathering of BOTH teams, though they are rivals, to help out a fellow player/opponent. Sportsmanship. Don't forget it.
I think there are a lot of tackles in that video that are far more horrific than Eduardo's. There is almost a mythology surrounding the Eduardo video that people think it is the worst leg break in football because they expect to be.
Some of those tackles ending careers, Eduardo was out just short of a year with that particular injury (hamstring? Issues hampered his first team return for a while)
Back to what Van Persie was asking: No, the player did not get a ban although Wenger complained to the F. A. but he did not deserve a ban according to the F. A. It is quite a clean tackle, in the sense that the player went in with only one foot, and went in before Eduardo was past him, so it wasn't a mean tackle but purley one to try and get the ball. The rest was just unlucky
Wenger actually called for the player (Martin Taylor) to be banned from football.... For life.... which he later retracted (thankfully)
He was given the standard 3 match ban as it was decided by FA + FIFA that there was no malicious intent although he did recieve death threats and was openly criticised by Eduardo's Croatian teammates
Damn it that guy who got hit with a flame thrower at 2. 26 must have been crying! And also I liked that fan who came on and kegged the refferee behind his back! Funny, but disgusting
Exactly. I really am not squeamish, but I absolutely cringe and hate to see this kind of stuff. It is so disturbing, it is always in your mind, especailly the one where his leg gone 90 degrees. I know Eduardo's okay, but really, the five worst leg breaks I pressed pause as soon as the name cam e up, it's so disgusting. You should lock these
If you want to see a truly gruesome injury, take a look at the video of Willis McGahee, American Football player, having his knee smashed back behind his leg
I didn't watch it all because I was too worried but can someone actually tell me what happened to him. Oh PS that video shouldn't be on here because it isn't an American site, so we talk about football as in soccer, not football as in rugby!
Oooops I posted it twice sorry I had to edit this so it says somethin else lol.... Is he dead? Is that guy at the end the dude who got injured? I just can't bear it.
Uuugh! That is the worst injury in the history of sports

Every time I watch these I cringe I don't know why I still watch after I broke my leg but curiousity gets the best out of me. There is a new injury posted on the man utd vs arsenal thread that's just plain nasty
