I love football gaffes. I'm first to wolf whistle from the sidelines when a player tries a stepover and lands on their arse. I do it because I know exactly what it feels like to hear the jeers. You remember that kind of thing.

This is one of my favs on my youtube channel. The guy who clears it into his teamate is great; the way he studders is priceless. And the ref who accidentally punches the guy, and Shearer (I think) gives him a red

Oh ronnie, ouch. But you got to be realistic. Yea he missed that but it didn't cost them the game and think of all the near impossible he has scored. But there is no excuse for that. Better luck next time, love the boots and the jersey though
Tragic. Some of the misses where they were a yard out looked impossible. If I was standing on the line and was trying to clip it up and over the bar I don't think I could do it
Some of them really do look impossible. You could have whiffed and the wind from your foot would have pushed the ball over the line they were so close.... Embarrassing
It must really be well embarassing for all those people in those compilations. I just can't beleive they missed all those wonderful chances, they either skied the ball high over the bar or put it miles wide from even the post!
Carragher accidently kicks it away with his wrong foot. Di Michele accidently kicks it away with his wrong foot and misses a golden chance. That tragic dive and feeble protest.
Its not often that Carragher gifts the ball, but to the dismay of the striker it was utter chaos (I don't say I would have put that in) he is playing at the world level
My personal experience was not too long ago. Group stage of the State Tournament this last spring, we were playing the top team in the state. Up 2-1, I was playing central defence. Note that this game took place at 6:30, basically in the summer. The ball was crossed in, at the exact level of the sun. I momentarily saw a tiny black dot, then was blinded by the sun. I aimlessly flailed in an attempt to head it out, but it went all the way to the back post. They took advantage, and we came to tie that game.
P. S. I swear the ref was dyslexic. A friend of mine from ODP went up to win a header against me and came straight through my back. I fell to the ground, the wistle blew, he said, "oh, that's a foul.... " Ref pointed the other way, claiming I cleaned him out.... An odd day...
