What a shame to lose with the last kick of the game. Fulham played fairly well in the first half but lost their drive in the second. You can blame Zamora for not being a team player or Jol for making some strange changes in the second half (opting to stay back instead of going for the kill) but you also have to give credit to Odense; they had nothing to play for but still went for it. Can't imagine how gutted the Fulham fans must be, to be celebrating going into the knockout stages of the tournament for the second time in three years at half time and then leaving the stadium knowing that they got knocked out by some poor second half play. What a shame
Oh well, we tried our best today. It was our own fault that we didn't try hard enough to make it in the earlier games, but at least we went out with a convincing win
No Matt your comment is silly look at the teams that didn't qualify in the champ league and europa league.... And tottenham did field their best squad modric, bale, lennon, and defoe all played against PAOK. Oh and if you don't want to take the tournament seriously then don't take part at all its not like it was the carling cup
LeonVFB, four starters is our best squad? How misinformed you are. Our back line was made up of two players who'd just returned from injury and none of them had ever been in the back four with each other before. Last time I checked the four starting players we had is about 1/3 of a squad. You forgot Adebayor, VDV, Parker, King, Kaboul, BAE, Walker, and Friedel who are all in our starting line-up. If we had played our best squad (mainly starting XI) throughout, we would've pummeled everyone to bits
Haha are you kidding me.... If the premier league is as good as everyone says and if tottenham want to be champions league regulars then there be team should have been able to progress to the knock out stages. What a joke. I mean look at the group they were in.... If you can't qualify from that group there's something wrong with you
Can't blame Jol completely for the loss. Zamora did nothing to try and hold the ball up. His assist came from standing in the opposition half, dicking around until the ball came to him

A fine game. Shame both did not advance. That was really nice football!
