Carragher's card was a straight red right and he'll be suspended for 3 match? If that is the case then it might still get worse for Liverpool. Hopefully Man City can capitalize on Liverpool's woes, especially when they play at Anfield in 3 weeks
The tackle on dempsey was harsh. I'm glad he kept some self respect and didn't roll around on the ground like a girl. The second red card.... Eh. Carragher was the last defender and was muscled out of position. Was it a goal scoring opportunity? Did he get ball first?
As rafa pointed out on the carragher tackle, he got ball first. From what I saw, I think it was true that he did touch the ball and prevented a goal scoring opportunity from that challenge but referees make mistakes, especially against liverpool.... (hint hint beachball)
Carragher claimed he got the ball, and Zamora got up instantly and said the same. Basically, neither the Liverpool or Fulham player involved thought it warrented a red card, but the ref (who wasn't sure himself) threw up a red card for Carragher. Interesting how he sent Carragher off and then ran over to consult the assistant referee.
With regards to the other red card, I don't think that was worthy of a straight red either. However, I still think with Benayoun and Torres off the pitch, Fulham would have won once they went 2-1 up
If degen wasn't shown red, the game would have turned ugly. Dempsey was tackled with his planted foot between the challenge & the ball in the fulham third of the field. It would've been really bad if degen came in a second earlier
This lose is not that suprising because liverpool have shown for a while that they step up and can win in games against the big four but against everyone else they are that great
That was one of the worst teams I have seen Rafa put out in along time. Voronin, and a backline of Degen, Carragher, Kyrgiakos and Insua. Surely liverpool can have a better team than this even without gerrard and johnson
My main question is why would Benitez field such a terribly weak team in both the cup and now the premiership? Is he obsessed with the Champions league?
I don't know why Rafa brings Torres, Kuyt and Benayoun off? This is again a frustrating result for the entire team.... But thank you Torres for this nice goal.... As the commentator said in the game:"This guy is every week a hero!"
Absolutely right one of the reasons I cheer for fulham they are a very respectful and disciplined team. Pure class, and when they win games like this its because of their hard work. John pantsil had a magnificent game, and gera had an impact the second he stepped on the pitch for duffy
