Update
We went live with the new site as of Friday May 22nd.
You might be able to work out the precise moment from the graph below :p
So far so good and a warm welcome to the old footytube 1.0 faithful.
The Thankyous
It's been a great ride over the last 6 months or so, working with all you lovely beta testers out there, can't tell you how much we've enjoyed your feedback and messages of support.
In some ways it's a shame to say goodbye to the close-knit community we've built up here, we feel like we know you all just a little bit, but I think everyone will all agree when I say it's time we let this baby fly ;)
You'll be glad to know we've tagged all of the original beta testers in our database as 'old faithfuls' and should we need testers for any super secret stuff further down the line, you guys will be the first to hear. We'll also give you all a bung or two when we roll out the dream team update in a few months :p
Needless to say, we are of course going to continue working our asses off after we go live, and can't wait to show you some of the new features we have lined up for release over the next few months.
The Panic
Only 0.5% of footytube traffic participated in the the beta...
Tomorrow, the rest of the footytube army will arrive...
It's very possible the servers may melt in the process :o
footytube is my anchor to the footballing world now since I'm living in California. I have been looking for sites to watch footy at home (England) but couldn't find none and I was beginning to get home sick of Gary and his crew at MoTD until I found footytube. So thank you guys for all your hard work! You are a lifeline to so many football lovers out there. You're doing an awsome job!
This is a great day for me as a football fan! This site is amazing as a beta, so I can't wait to see what happens when the other 95. 5% join in! :) Going live almost feels like we are all graduating or something! :)
