10. Landon Donovan
Another well timed volley from Galaxy but this time from the living legend, Landon Donovan. A scorcher from distance, straight into the top corner and well out of reach for the Goalkeeper.
9. Mehdi Ballouchy
(long highlights) A powerful free-kick from Ballouchy completing a 4-0 rout of the Red Bulls by the Colorado Rapids. Only his 3rd goal for Colorado since joining in 2007 and will undoubtedly be his most memorable.
8. Dentinho
A flowing passing move from Corinthians opened the Fluminense defence, allowing Dentinho to score with a cheeky finish.
7. Roberto Carlos
Trademark free kick from the Fenerbahce veteran, a daisy-cutter with lots of curl opening the scoring against Honved in the Europa League.
6. Zvjezdan Misimovic
(long highlight) Lovely play on the edge of the box was met with a precise finish by Misimovic, putting Wolfsburg 2-0 up against Wehen in a recent DFB Pokal match.
5. Alecko Eskandarian
An outrageous shot from Eskandarian 3 minutes into the game against the Red Bulls. An expertly timed volley following a lovely piece of skill which inspired the Galaxy to victory.
4. Sandro Wagner
Sandro Wagner wraps up the UEFA U21 final against England with this lovely curling shot. A fantastic goal which capped a great performance from an up-and-coming talent currently playing for Duisburg.
3. Ronaldo
‘Fenomeno’ Ronaldo continues to defy his critics as he scores a hat-trick against Fluminense. The pick of his goals being his third, a powerful effort from just outside the box following a rebound.
2. Clemens Fritz
A glorious first touch is met with a thunderous finish to see Werder Bremen take the lead in the German Super Cup courtesy of Clemens Fritz.
1. Claudio Lopez
A spectacular half-way line lob from Claudio Lopez, allowing Kansas City Wizards to take the lead against LA Galaxy. A combination of goalkeeping misjudgement from Ricketts and opportunism from Lopez resulted in a memorable goal
I think that David Villa (Spain), Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard (England) should be added in as they have scored great goals during the World Cup qualifying matches
