Two years ago this game would have had 50% more intercepted passes, 50% more missed passes, 50% less shots on frame, a bunch more yellow cards and a bunch more set pieces.
Mls is getting better. The game started with some killer pass work from both teams, creating chances and testing keepers instead of shooting from distant and bruising the crowds' forearms
He pulled that chance out of nowhere. We could definitely use someone like that on usmnt. However, the break was from an ill advised forward header from sounders' right midfielder, he had his right back open behind him but tried to go to the striker. This led to the opening for the big pass. Shea still did incredibly well to collect in between two defenders, WAIT (most overlooked skill in soccer), then finish. Very nice.
However, in international play, our opponents (save some carribean island teams) will never make that mistake. I would like to see what he can do though if he has holdup play and finishing like that
It's not about talking how MLS is a lot better now than before.... It's all about watching these highlights now and talking about what happened in it....
Like how Kevin Hartman is a wall.... Great job Dallas....
Seattle is the Emerald City.... The city's color is green not because of their sponsor.... Which is good because they would have been a laughing stock in this league if that was the case...
