Actually.... Statistically RVP is the 4th best player in the world.... Messi is first.... Mario Gomez second.... Benzema third.... RVP fourth.... And [C.] Ronaldo fith.

This is not my opinion.... Its just statistics.... Go to Castrolfootballdotcom where is has rankings on all the players.

Rvp is actually climbing.... So I think he could be second by the end of the year

Mario Gomez (2nd) has scored 32 goals in 32 league appearances since December 2010 – only Ronaldo (42) and Messi (34) have scored more

Has scored 31 league goals in 30 appearances in 2011, leaving him one month to score five goals if he is to match Alan Shearer’s record of 36 Premier League goals in a calendar year, achieved in 1995

Fair enough the rankings are probably close enough to what the current quality of these players are, but I don't believe (or can't see at least) how they factor in the standard of the League each player is in. So Messi and Ronaldo for example are playing in a League where the gulf between the lower teams and the upper teams far exceeds the gulf in the Premiership I. E. The Premiership is probably a more difficult league over all. This determines how a player of RVP's standard will perform. I don't think you can rate and compare players performing in different competitions

Good game, even though we didn't managed to score in the first half. Everton put up a fight in the second, and would have gotten a result out of this game if it wasn't for our captain! What a goal!

We need to keep van persie without him we would struggle
SuperSpurs (Tottenham Hotspur) 5 months ago
LOL, so ironic that a Gunner is making that claim and a Spurs fan disagrees!

Any team would suffer if they lost a striker that could score on command but you have to remember that RVP gets great service from all over the midfield

Spot on SuperSpurs,    Ironic indeed

Van persie may be the best in the world at the moment, behind gotze of course
Chafcouf93 (Manchester United) 5 months ago
Who's gotze?

Lol Gotze.... Sorry to burst your bubble but MVP is better right now
Palandiell (Bayern München) 5 months ago
As a german I think götze is getting way too much attention. He is good, but not THAT good yet. Give him time and stop trying to make him look super human. Hurts the player more than it helps

So I saw the headlines running, saying RVP (who else, really?) had scored a fenomenal volley for Arsenal. I was thinking, probably nothing super amazing, and then I saw this video, and the ball by Song, brilliant, the technique from RVP, just mouth watering class, absolutely amazing goal!
