Wayne Rooney is the most expensive player in both transfer fee and wages. Carroll just turned 22 this year [January] and is and up and coming player, but not quite an England star yet. I'm almost 100% sure he's only played for England one time prior to this, I think he started against France in a friendly a few months back. The goal he scored today was his first on the senior squad.

Gyan's goal was awesome! How comes than no big team signed him after that WC performance!

@Kevin - 2 missed penalties don't determine how good a player is.... Gyan is class, as was Baggio and Platini. Am pretty sure he'll find himself in a bigger club real soon
