Good result, but another lacklustre performance from England as a team in my view. Bulgaria were fortunately shocking, otherwise the discohesion and incessant back-passing would've been completely exposed. There were no doubt some fine individual performances - Parker held down the midfield all 90 minutes and Cahill neutralised even the most threatening Bulgarian attacks, but the interchange of passing and movement was bereft of inspiration and mutual understanding.

Also don't get why Capello started Young in the hole, he's too brittle and short for that position; doesn't play to his strengths either, although the squad is lacking in that area I suppose. Would've made more sense though to have Rooney play there and employ Walcott as the striker

I agree, rooney should be the support striker, young on the right walcot on the left, I think Welbeck when fit or carrol as the center forward and I think we got a chance of winning the european cup on paper. The england team doesn't seem to take it seriously enough though I'm sure they'll disappoint again

Good win for england 3-0 away, there are no easy games in international football, except for san marino of course.

Shame we can't win this comfortably at wembley, maybe if the daytrippers stopped going and creating a terrible atmosphere it would turn into a plac our players could play in with freedom and not fear

LOL, Cappelo trying to hold in the smile for the first goal was awesome. Solid game by England, nothing spectacular but the job was done and they never faulted, good at back, good in mid, good in attack
